Line brush!
You have to separate and brush in sections.
Brushing the top is not enough. And you may feel like the comb is going through. But once you separate you can see the hair is not brushed to the skin and the comb doesn't go through.
This is why we shave it. It's too uncomfortable for the dog to brush out.
Comfort over vanity is always the best option.
