Part 2…’cause I didn’t wrap it up fully yesterday 🤪.

Owning a licensed boarding kennel was rewarding and fun, but we closed when we moved to Surf City. I took time to think about what to pursue next. Happily, it’s still pet care.
I’m established in Surf City as a trusted, local sitter now. Recently I became a certified dog groomer and am pet first aid & CPR certified too. I groom dogs under 50lbs by appointment in a quiet, clean and loving environment. I enjoy being a one stop shop for local friends and their pets and am thankful for the trust placed in me.

I’m firmly rooted in my original pet care values; trusted, professional, pet focused 1:1 care providing exceptional communication and reliability.

Thought I’d share a little story on the why behind what I do here.
Years ago our family traveled full time for a couple of years and needed care for the 4 dogs we had at that time. It was a difficult decision and several trusted friends stepped up and gave the loving care they needed. It gave me reassurance and peace of mind with a difficult decision. While we traveled we helped other families with their pets and found it rewarding and fun. It eased some of what we missed being away from our own pets. It came full circle when we came back home and decided to open a 1:1 boarding facility that provided the experience we wanted our pets to have. I loved that we could use our experiences to give back some of what we’d been searching for with pet care. You can scroll back on our posts to see how that went. We learned so much and had fun as a family meeting so many pets.
Well, years have passed and my girls still help me with local pets from time to time and still love meeting yours.
This past weekend we took care of a couple more in Charlotte together. Just a reminder that when you find what you enjoy it can take you wherever you want to go, and for us it’s been pretty far 🌎 🐾.
