Meet Mitzi 💕

This beautiful 4-year-old Sheltie girl is ready to find a loving, peaceful home where she can truly thrive.

Mitzi is spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccinations, and has a wonderful, gentle personality. She is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than being close to her people—whether that’s cuddling on the couch or spending quality time together throughout the day.

Freddie is looking for a very specific home where he can truly succeed. He will do best in an adult-only household with someone who has experience handling dogs with guarding behaviors. Freddie has shown that he is protective of his space, particularly his crate and home and may react if someone approaches too closely. Because of this, he is not a fit for homes with children and no apartments.
More important things to note about Freddie:
* does not like windshield wipers and should travel in a crate in the car
* does not like being handled at the vets office and will need extra care at the vets office (he is muzzle trained)
* does not have experience, sharing a home with another dog and shows barrier aggression on leash so unless you have a lot of experience with gradually and slowly introducing dogs to provide desensitization with crating and spacial management within the home, I would recommend he goes to a home with one dog only or somebody with a lot of experience.
* Freddie does best in a home- no apartments because a home setting provides ample distance from other dogs when going on walks
* When you travel, you will have to consider boarding only because Freddie is territorial of his own home and he may bite the Pet Sitter.
With the right structure, clear boundaries, and respectful handling, Freddie will be a devoted and loving companion. He does best with people who understand canine body language and are committed to providing consistent management to help him feel safe.

Snowball is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, freshly groomed, and has already started some basic training—he’s off to a great start and eager to keep learning. He knows his name, come, sit, down, stay, Doorbell Training to go potty outside (command training not so perfect outside yet, needs more practice in his future home).

While his current name is Snowball, we think a fresh start could suit him beautifully—something sweet like Coco to match his gentle, loving nature.

Snowball hasn’t had the easiest first year, but through it all, he has remained a kind, affectionate, and resilient little dog. Now in our care, he’s finally getting the stability and guidance he needs—and he’s ready to bond deeply with his forever family.

🐾 Potato is looking for his forever home! 🐾

Meet Potato, an almost 1-year-old mini Goldendoodle (about 15 lbs and fully grown). We rescued him on Christmas Day, and he has blossomed into the sweetest little companion. His 1st birthday is this March, and we would love for him to celebrate it with his new family. 🎂

Potato is friendly with people and dogs, travels well in the car, enjoys walks, and absolutely loves cheese as a treat. When he’s happy to see you, he literally squeals with joy — it’s adorable.

He is easygoing, affectionate, and loves being someone’s shadow. Because of his calm temperament and good public manners, he would make a wonderful emotional support dog or PTSD service dog prospect.

He is crate trained, knows come, sit, down, and place, and just needs continued housebreaking reinforcement.

Has anyone ever told you you might be the reason for your dog’s bad behavior?

If you can’t control your dog in your own home, how are you going to control them out in the real world?
95% of dogs that struggle on leash also struggle inside the home: pacing, counter surfing, poor sleep, dictating routines, and running the show.

Crate training puppies requires patience and consistency! Building positive associations with the crate is vital. Feeding meals in the crate, practicing entry exercises, and providing bones to chew on can help. This video demonstrates a simple exercise to teach your dog to enter the crate calmly on command. With just 5-10 minutes of practice daily, you'll see quick progress. It's surprising how many people think their dog is crate trained, yet their dog struggles to relax in the crate and is forced to enter.

It's too common that owners do not want to crate train at all and I spend too much time encouraging families to practice crate training. Crate Training is a MUST. Its not a JAIL and your dogs can learn to love the safety of their den.
