Ozarks Kat and K9 Shelter We are a small but mighty no-kill animal shelter located in beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. Our volunteers and employees are few but mighty. on Hwy 5.

Our current thrift store was built originally to house our thrift shop and for our animals that are up for adoption. Our Thrift store is the main monetary base for the animals we take in and for our ongoing spay/neuter financial assistance program that benefits our area animals. Those interested in helping should come to our building on Hwy 5 just south of the Morgan/Camden county line or call us

at 573-374-2629. Memberships in Ozarks Kat and K9 are available. We are located just inside the northern edge of Sunrise Beach, MO. Come Visit Us!

๐Ÿ’™Bulbasaur has been waiting 308 days for someone to choose him๐Ÿ’™

This sweet, playful boy has spent nearly his entire life growing up at the shelter, watching other dogs find homes.

At just over a year old and around 35 pounds, Bulbasaur is the perfect medium-sized pup. He is about full grown, full of love, and ready to give his whole heart to someone. He adores toys and gets along beautifully with other dogs. In true heeler fashion, he loves playtime just as much as cuddle time. He walks great on a leash, knows how to sit and leans in close for pets like he never wants them to end.

After 10 long months of waiting, Bulbasaur deserves to know what โ€œhomeโ€ feels like. ๐Ÿ’š

Halloween can be a fun night for families, but it can be frightful for our furry friends! Here are a few ways to keep them safe and stress-free tonight:

๐Ÿพ Keep candy out of reach โ€“ Chocolate and sugar-free treats (especially those with xylitol) can be toxic to pets.
๐Ÿพ Create a quiet space โ€“ Costumes, doorbells, and trick-or-treaters can be overwhelming. Give your pet a calm room to relax in.
๐Ÿพ Use pet-safe costumes only โ€“ If you dress your pet up, make sure the outfit isnโ€™t tight, hot, or restrictive.
๐Ÿพ Secure doors and gates โ€“ With visitors coming and going, pets can slip out easily. Keep them safely indoors.
๐Ÿพ Watch the decorations โ€“ Wires, candles, and fake cobwebs can be dangerous if chewed or tangled in.
