At Brunsman Country Doodles, we have some exciting things coming up! 🐾

✨ Mabel Jane’s FINAL litter is due in just one week! This special litter will be her last, and we cannot wait to meet these sweet babies.

• Mini Goldendoodles this Late Summer/Fall
• Medium Goldendoodles this Late Summer/Fall
• And hopefully 🤞🏼 Mini Bernedoodles this Winter!

As always, we will be selective about the number of litters we raise if multiple females overlap in heat cycles. Our upcoming puppies will be going home crate trained, which means even more individualized time and care goes into each litter.

One of our very FIRST babies, with one of our most recent babies!

The biggest compliment is when a family comes back to BCD for their 2nd and even 3rd Doodle Baby!! Also, the referrals we receive.

I don’t think many realize how demanding and how difficult it can be to raise amazing pups. A ton of sleepless nights, the mess, the medications, the calls to our veterinary team.. Trust me lately they have probably about had it with me…🫣 Then sometimes it not be as perfect as you planned or hoped. We’re ALWAYS striving for perfection. But at the end of the day we’re working with animals and it always doesn’t go as planned.

I’m forever grateful for the families who have trusted us from the start, and keep trusting us!❤️

How are you spending your Memorial Day Weekend?

BCD spent Friday & Saturday celebrating our Henry!
Henry celebrated his 12th Birthday yesterday!

We have also torn apart the Nursery. Deep cleaned it, and waiting for a warm sunny day to clean every nook and cranny of the EZ Whelp Boxes. That way we can use our concentrated kennel cleaner and they can dry in the heat outside. Along with all the plastic toys and play gym equipment.
We’re also in the thick of a 5 day Quarterly Deworming of all the dogs. Panacur for EVERYONE!! The dogs are getting super annoyed when seeing me with that syringe of dewormer. They all run and hide.

It’s been raining for days it feels like. So lots of naps and movies when we get all the daily chores done. ✅

What does Summer Look Like at BCD!

The next few weeks we’re focusing on Family Time, Henry starting Sports Performance & getting ready for his upcoming Football 🏈 Season, Swim Lessons for Liam, Nursery Reset, and some training BCD Dog Crew.

The Nursery has had back to back litters since January and I’m ready to tear it apart and clean every inch before Mabel’s Litter arrives. Now that all the puppies are gone and we no longer have to juggle where they go while we clean.
No matter how much we clean, theres always a puppy following right behind us ready to 💩!

Mabel is due with her FINAL Litter of Babies in June. This is the only litter we have on the way currently. These are going to me my FAVORITE size pup!! 35-45lbs! I have estimated them a tad larger in case we have a couple that like to put some genetics from their ancestors.

This is the FIRST Litter that will be leaving us FULLY Crate Trained. Starting Potty Training at 3 weeks old!

Whoa! That is one expensive box!! But its what to takes to keep the doggies healthy!

It was restock time a BCD for our Monthly Heartworm Preventative Treatments. As well as it’s quarterly time to deworm the crew for 5 days.

Parasites 🦠 are a breeders arch nemesis! We do our best to keep all parasites at bay, but unfortunately puppies/dogs lick and eat things they shouldn’t and reinfect themselves so easily. All of our crew has been moved to concrete and surfaces that are easily able to be sanitized. As we live in a rural farm property. Then we take a risk again if we add a new puppy from an outside breeder. We possibly can bring in a different parasite we didn’t have.

When working with Dogs/Puppies it feels like we are constantly looking at 💩 and chasing our tail trying to eliminate all the parasites!

Be sure to be giving monthly preventatives. If you have multiple dogs in your home it is wise to treat them quarterly with a dewormer.
