🚨 Cat Parents, Listen Up! 🚨
Is your kitty peeing outside the litter box, straining, or making frequent trips with little output? It could be FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease) — a common but serious condition that affects your cat’s bladder and urethra.

From stress to diet, many factors can trigger it — and in males, it can become life-threatening fast. 🐱💔

Know the signs. Act early. Keep your feline friend happy and healthy. 🐾

What’s that fluorescent green glow you see in this kitty cat’s eye? That’s a corneal ulcer.

Corneal ulcers are painful conditions that can affect dogs and cats, leading to serious complications if not treated promptly. Here’s what you need to know:

What Are Corneal Ulcers?

Corneal ulcers are sores on the surface of the eye’s cornea, which can occur due to injury, infection, or underlying diseases. They can be superficial or deep, and the severity often determines the treatment required.

Common causes of corneal ulcers include:

• Trauma: Scratches from sharp objects, other pets, or self-trauma due to intense itching.
• Infections: Bacterial, viral, or fungal infections can lead to ulceration.
• Dry eye: Reduced tear production can compromise the cornea’s health.
• Underlying health conditions: Diabetes and immune disorders can increase susceptibility.

Symptoms to Watch For

• Redness in the eye
• Excessive tearing or discharge
• Squinting or keeping the eye closed
• Pawing at the eye
• Cloudiness of the cornea

Treatment

Prompt veterinary attention is crucial. Untreated corneal ulcers can lead to severe complications, including vision loss. Treatments may include medications such as antibiotics, pain relief, and in some cases, surgery.

If you notice any signs of eye discomfort in your pet, consult your veterinarian without delay!
