Look at these guys!
Just send us your Aussies, here they have 5 acres to train on and are surrounded by fields, while having a professionally constructed kennel facility to rest in inbetween training sessions. This is where dogs go to be trained, but its also where they are excited to come back to, everytime their owners go out of town.

ASTI! Dog Ops graduate ready to go anywhere, anytime. A beautiful Cane Corso we had the pleasure of training. Just because you have a big powerful dog does NOT mean you need to seclude them. Dogs like Asti are ambassadors of their breed, and starting young with this level of training ensures she leaves everyone pleasantly surprised at how such a powerful dog can have so much control in the face of distractions.

A knock on the door does NOT have to trigger bad behavior, but it most likely will unless we teach an alternative. The alternative I prefer is a knock on the door commands the dog or dog(s) to go to their place bed/crate. This replaces the predictably frustrating barking, growling, and uncontrollable excitement. It provides clarity, and routine to everday events in my clients households. This adds struture to one of the most challenging issues most dog owners deal with, simply having guests over to their house. This also sets the stage for obedience, and calm behavior to prevail over impulsive undesirable behavior. This requires continued training, and this is a simple video demonstrating the beginning stages of this training.

The more input you give to your dogs to complete any task. The more input they will require. Keep it simple, and allow your dog to SHOW you how much they understand, take that information and do less. Then do less. Then do less. Until all you are doing is providing the smallest amount of input, and your dog is doing the rest. Why do some dog training companies struggle to train to the level of not having to bend over and snapping your fingers to put your dog into the down? Or. Why cant they actually teach your dog to respond to you the first time? Easy, simple, they dont Condition anything. They put your dog on a continuous reward schedule, they do 20% of the repitions they should, and tether your dog to a place bed for 6 hours a day. As soon as they can facilitate a good behavior into place. They correct the opposite action and move on. Giving you a partially trained dog that if you dont continue to force feed answers to they fail.
