She is delicate and lovely and her name is Wildflower. This five-year-old, 11 lb Chihuahua/Dachshund mix came from a traumatic background where she experienced severe neglect. This little lady is timid and easily overwhelmed by new experiences so she would thrive in a quiet home. Wildflower would love a home with a doting single female as that’s the situation she’s in now with her foster mom. In true Chihuahua fashion, she is ultra-affectionate and she loves to sleep under the covers touching her foster mom. Wildflower pays no attention to her fellow foster dogs but she is mildly obsessed with her foster mom. She may be happiest as an only dog but she can live with easygoing dogs if need be.

Wildflower loves her leash walks and she’s a good walking buddy. She is mostly housebroken except for a few mishaps. Foster mom remarked, “She is the most food-motivated dog I have met.” Generally that’s a good indicator of a dog who is both intelligent and easily trainable.
