12. Large blanket – greyt for sitting at an outside event
13. About 25 greyhound event t-shirts (some are classics) I would donate to a adoption group for auction.

Having been in the greyhound sitting business for years I’ve now retired and would like to
Have these things put to use. I would like to make a little money but we’ll see how it goes.

Hi all,
This is a message I've been dreading to send for the whole year.

As of the end of December 2024 Home Away from Home Greyhound Sitting Service will be no longer. I started in 2007 and can't even think of how many beautiful greyhounds and their people that I met. I find it hard to believe now that I would sometimes have 11 dogs at one time. I have always been the sole person doing everything and at the age of 83 I can no longer do it all.
This year has been good but with the kennel closing and the scarcity of available dogs this area of the triad has been mostly forgotten. I have my dedicated people that have been coming to me for years. I don't like to let them down in the future, but it can't be helped. Time waits for no one.

I'm not sure if anyone in this area, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, or High Point offer boarding services. It would be greyt if someone did. I would offer my help with getting started.

Well, that's about it. I will miss you all and your babies. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a greyt New Year. Please say hello now and then if you'd like.

Hi all,
Just a quick post to let you all know I am actually taking a week off in September. It will be September 5 to 12. I haven't taken any time off since the track trip in Feb.2020 and I'm not getting any younger.
I have no idea what I'm going to do yet but it won't involve greyhounds LOL!

Hope to see alot of you before and after.
