Mission Statement:
Lake Area Partnerships for Animal Welfare (LAPAW) Rescue and TNR specializes in the rescue and placement of abused, unwanted, and abandoned companion animals. LAPAW does not discriminate on the basis of health, age, breed, demeanor, background or otherwise. LAPAW strives to educate the community, ensure public awareness, and gain local political partners to mitigate the number of homeless and uncared for animals in southwest Louisiana. All animals within the care of LAPAW are examined, vaccinated, altered (spayed or neutered), and treated (if need be) under the advisement of professional veterinary expertise prior to foster or adoption which entails careful and thorough screening. Feral cats who are not socialized and therefore not within the household pet category are altered prior to their return to safe outdoor environments.

ALERT!! ONE OF MY CLIENTS DOGS RAN OFF WHEN THE THUNDERSTORM HIT THIS AFTERNOON. HE WAS IN HIS FENCED YARD BUT HE PANICKED. HIS NAME IS MONTANA. WE WILL ACCEPT HIM IN AT PAWS ON THE GEAUX IF FOUND AND WE WILL CONTACT OWNER. HE IS VERY LOVED. Moss Bluff - Stafford Rd area
