Lake Area Partnerships for Animal Welfare (LAPAW) Rescue and TNR specializes in the rescue and placement of abused, unwanted, and abandoned companion animals. LAPAW does not discriminate on the basis of health, age, breed, demeanor, background or otherwise. LAPAW strives to educate the community, ensure public awareness, and gain local political partners to mitigate the number of homeless and uncared for animals in southwest Louisiana. All animals within the care of LAPAW are examined, vaccinated, altered (spayed or neutered), and treated (if need be) under the advisement of professional veterinary expertise prior to foster or adoption which entails careful and thorough screening. Feral cats who are not socialized and therefore not within the household pet category are altered prior to their return to safe outdoor environments.

The black cat is JACK...his family took him to ER last weekend and used all their available $$ up...over 700$ now , today, he is having urinary problems. .their vet said it's an EMERGENCY...they tried CareCredit .don't qualify...after paying bills...there isn't enough to get Jack back to the VET. the family called us, LAPAW RESCUE, but we are in a SHORTAGE OF FUNDS , ALSO ..
