We had the opportunity to assist with search and rescue efforts on horseback in the Hill Country. The level of devastation is beyond anything we could have imagined. Entire communities have been shaken, and the loss is profound.

We brought a 2-year-old filly and a 3-year-old gelding with us, and they handled the chaos and destruction better than we ever could have expected. Their calm presence was a steadying force in the midst of so much heartbreak.

Even in the face of such tragedy, the level of resilience our country shows in times of disaster is incredible. Neighbors helping neighbors, strangers stepping up without hesitation, it’s a powerful reminder of the strength and unity that bind us together.

When you can, please take a moment to say a prayer for the families affected. They need all the strength, support, and love we can send their way.

We took a little trip out to Fort Stockton to visit one of the largest ranches in Texas — La Escalera Ranch!
Huge thanks to Gene and Gerry for showing us around some of the most beautiful country we’ve ever seen.
