Just a reminder; we base our routes and billing off of what the NWS states has accumulated and our average measurement in the area.

If you decide to clear your whole driveway mid storm and snowfall continues thereafter, we may not notice that it was cleared once already as it blends in, and you will likely be serviced even if what remains is below your accumulation trigger.

If you take it upon yourself to manage your own driveway without notifying BSS prior to storm arrival that we do not need to service you, you WILL be charged a trip charge for our time as we take consideration to create our routes custom per event, and travel to your location.

The first plowable snow event has finally arrived!

With the snow continuing off and on through early Friday morning, we are currently on standby waiting for it to officially slow down before dropping blades. We anticipate only a couple more inches, and don’t forsee a need to plow multiple times for this event unless requested. As always, we do our best to have everyone serviced for the daily commute times when the storm cooperates.

Roads and driveways are extremely slick this morning. Surfaces that were salted yesterday are even iced over. Please drive cautiously, and be careful on your commute home if we don’t get much sun today with the expected freezing rain and dropping temps at night. We are out patrolling accordingly.

If you normally don’t but would like salting services for events like this, please reach out and we will get to you at our earliest convenience.

SUNDAY UPDATE

Driveways have about .25”-.5” of accumulation due to the wind constantly blowing it around. We are headed home as there is not much we can do given the conditions (and we assume everyone doesn’t want any unnecessary additions to their invoices after the last few days)!

Be careful on pavement wherever you go, these temps are crazy cold, take precautions seriously.

Keep yourselves, families, and pets safe during the next few days, & warm!

Good morning!
(3AM)

We are headed out to start making rounds and clearing accordingly with the blowover that happened last night.

If you must go out today, please be careful as the frigid temps are here, and chances are ice is underlying on some sneaky surfaces.

At this point salt won’t do much, if you have the opportunity to grab some sand and fling that out for extra traction, it’s not a bad idea.

Good morning, afternoon, whatever time it is….

We are working on wrapping up our list of residentials and circling back to those who had trees down and we were unable to safely service. We are hoping to be completely done in the next few hours.

If you have any concerns, please touch base sooner than later so you don’t reach out when we are FINALLY back home for a much needed “recharge” and a hot meal, and a solid slumber.

Some of you have PILES of snow now, and if we get more snow sooner than later, we may not have sufficient room to pile it all and snow REMOVAL (haul off) may be required for your property. WE KNOW A GUY (our father in law) who is able to haul snow off your property with his skid and dump truck. Message us for rates if you foresee needing this service.

Again, we would love to help your Dad, or your cousin, or your friend with their completely snowed in driveway, but this is the reason why we get all contracts in before the season starts and we stay as local as possible so we are not hopping all over and leaving our current clientele with sloppy driveways. We are full, and unable to take on anymore work on top of our normal routes at this time, and in the future. We appreciate your support, but we stay small to be able to focus on quality as much as possible.
North Praire, Dousman, & Wales are our central hub.

Please look at the Nextdoor app, or the page, Lake Country 411 if you have someone who is in need of snow removal. There are plenty of guys out there who don’t plan routes and just service people whenever they need. We wish we could help everyone, but it’s simply not possible.

ANTICIPATED SERVICE PLAN
Friday ➡️ Saturday

We have been out since 7AM, and have made several repetitions of the routes and have already taken care of everyone AT LEAST once.

Those with steep, or somewhat difficult, out of the ordinary driveways with over 3” of accumulation WILL BE SERVICED AGAIN before the end of the storm to eliminate any anticipated issues with the predicted continuation of this storm that is going to happen tonight into tomorrow.

We are hoping to have trucks back in the garage to take a break and recoup from todays service by 8PM, and will be back out in the early hours Saturday morning to continue to clear all drives and lots accordingly.

Currently the snow should be continuing until 5AM, with accumulation lightening up at midnight. We are looking at 3”-6” more accumulation by sunrise tomorrow. Please know we will be working as efficiently as possible to make sure everyone is taken care of by early afternoon Saturday 1/13.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.
