If you wait to the week of the first event to find a company you are probably too late! Most companies have their routes full before November, so if you’re in need of service you better call now. All our renewal contracts have been sent out weeks ago and we are filling up fast.

Just a reminder; we base our routes and billing off of what the NWS states has accumulated and our average measurement in the area.

If you decide to clear your whole driveway mid storm and snowfall continues thereafter, we may not notice that it was cleared once already as it blends in, and you will likely be serviced even if what remains is below your accumulation trigger.

If you take it upon yourself to manage your own driveway without notifying BSS prior to storm arrival that we do not need to service you, you WILL be charged a trip charge for our time as we take consideration to create our routes custom per event, and travel to your location.

The first plowable snow event has finally arrived!

With the snow continuing off and on through early Friday morning, we are currently on standby waiting for it to officially slow down before dropping blades. We anticipate only a couple more inches, and don’t forsee a need to plow multiple times for this event unless requested. As always, we do our best to have everyone serviced for the daily commute times when the storm cooperates.

Roads and driveways are extremely slick this morning. Surfaces that were salted yesterday are even iced over. Please drive cautiously, and be careful on your commute home if we don’t get much sun today with the expected freezing rain and dropping temps at night. We are out patrolling accordingly.

If you normally don’t but would like salting services for events like this, please reach out and we will get to you at our earliest convenience.

SUNDAY UPDATE

Driveways have about .25”-.5” of accumulation due to the wind constantly blowing it around. We are headed home as there is not much we can do given the conditions (and we assume everyone doesn’t want any unnecessary additions to their invoices after the last few days)!

Be careful on pavement wherever you go, these temps are crazy cold, take precautions seriously.

Keep yourselves, families, and pets safe during the next few days, & warm!

Good morning!
(3AM)

We are headed out to start making rounds and clearing accordingly with the blowover that happened last night.

If you must go out today, please be careful as the frigid temps are here, and chances are ice is underlying on some sneaky surfaces.

At this point salt won’t do much, if you have the opportunity to grab some sand and fling that out for extra traction, it’s not a bad idea.
