Bruce had a big day at the clinic! He came in with a chief complaint of a bulging eye that turned into a full diagnostic workup. From checking his eye pressure with tonometry and corneal staining to a tear test, this brave boy took it all in stride.
To get the full picture, we also performed:
• Sedated X-rays for a closer look.
• Allergy testing (nearly 10ml of blood drawn—what a champ!).
The radiology consult suggests the next step should be advanced imaging like a CT or MRI to get even more answers.
We are so proud of how Bruce handled everything today. We’re sending him so much love and the best of luck as he continues his journey to feeling 100% again!

🐾 Meet Dr. Kunal Kshatriya — one of our compassionate veterinarians here at Pinnacle Animal Hospital! 💙

Growing up overseas, Dr. Kunal was surrounded by animals from an early age, sparking a lifelong passion that led him to become a veterinarian. With over a decade of experience caring for both farm and companion animals, he has honed his expertise in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Kunal believes in building strong, trusting relationships with pets and their people — and he’s dedicated to helping every pet live a long, healthy, and happy life. 🐶🐱

Outside the clinic, you’ll find him gardening, cooking up spicy new recipes, 🌶️ and traveling. He’s also a proud plant parent and has recently discovered a love for aquaculture and aquarium care 🌿🐠.

🐾 Meet Dr. Arslan Ahmad — one of our amazing veterinarians here at Pinnacle Animal Hospital! 💙

Dr. Ahmad is a passionate small animal vet with special interests in soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. He earned his DVM and Master’s in Theriogenology (Animal Reproduction) from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan 🇵🇰.

Since then, his journey has taken him across the globe — from practicing in Canada 🍁 to advancing his skills in New York 🗽, and now bringing his expertise and compassion to the Bay Area 🌉.

When he’s not caring for pets, you’ll find him traveling, reading autobiographies, learning new languages, or running 🏃‍♂️.

We’re so excited to have Dr. Ahmad on the Pinnacle team — his dedication to animals and love of adventure make him an incredible addition to our family! 💫

Yesterday we met Riddick, a pup who just found his forever home — and we couldn’t be happier for him 💛

He was returned to the shelter after his previous family’s fence broke, and had been labeled “caution.” But when his new dad walked in, Riddick greeted him with nothing but love. At our clinic, he was calm, sweet, and gentle — a total sweetheart.

The most touching part? Riddick looks just like his new dad’s dog who passed away only a week ago. It truly felt like fate brought them together.

Some matches are just meant to be. 🐾❤️
