Bierbower Aquatics Bierbower Aquatics is a small tropical fish hatchery focusing on South American freshwater tropical fish. Our AquaBid seller ID is HUBSRKB.

We currenty devote most of our tanks to raising high quality orange koi angelfish, corydoradine catfish, and bristle nose plecostomus. We generally have high quality orange koi, orange marble, and albino angelfish for sale at all times. Additionally, we raise Corydoras weitzmani, sterbai, and panda. The last main type of fish are bristle nose plecostomus. We have long and standard fin green, super

I think I am pretty much done shipping until spring. I want to express my sincere thanks for an amazing year and incredible support that has allowed me to expand my hatchery operation and work with more species and angel varieties. I'm still willing to ship a few boxes as the weather permits, but no more groups will be offered on Aquabid. Just message me if you're looking for anything. I'll be focusing on getting ready for the Ohio Cichlid Association Extravaganza on 11/22-11/24 over the next few weeks.

I'll be bringing a nice group of fish and plants to this auction this weekend. There are sure to be some great fish and supplies available. The spring auction was one of the best ones in the region this year so hopefully the fall follows a similar pattern. I also plan to bring a nice wooden stand for a 75 or 90 gallon tank.

A nice group of young L519 Ancistrus sp. Kiefneri 2 (Rio Itenez) growing out. They are very camera shy, but I managed to sneak a decent photo while they were eating this morning. I should have some groups available later this fall as they put on a little more size.

I teach two levels of conservation biology and decided to incorporate two Goodeid species from my hatchery into the class using these two 29 gallon setups with hydroponic trays growing marigolds for now. The one tank has a colony of Xenotoca doadrioi San Marcos and the other has a colony of Skiffia francesae Teuchitlan, Jalisco. We'll definitely be discussing the C.A.R.E.S. program and hopefully raising a good number of young to keep these two species going strong.

A quick look at a few of my breeding pairs. Apparently today was a good day to lay eggs.

Nice young Electric Blue Acara.

I've kept a lot of different species of fish over the years, but there are a few that I really enjoyed and regretted moving on from. Today I added two of my personal favorite cichlids. Trichromis salvini "Tabasco/Grijalva" and the Electric Blue Acara are back in my hatchery now. I don't plan on raising many of either of them, but they have great personalities and are beautiful fish to look at.

While I'm filming platys, this group didn't want to be left out. High fin red wag platys have always been a personal favorite.

I was excited to pick up these high fin platys last week. They really catch your eye when you walk past them. The females are filling out nicely and hopefully I get fry soon

Here is a video of the four young adult orange koi I just posted on AquaBid.com . Two seem to have already started guarding half the tank they are in.

I've had a ton of Skiffia francesae Teuchitlan, Jalisco born lately. I'm looking forward to spreading these around this spring to others that appreciate this unique fish.
