Today is about the dogs who got a second chance — and the people who gave it to them. ❤️🐾

On National Rescue Dog Day, we celebrate every rescued dog who walked into our lives carrying a story we may never fully know… and every one of them who chose to trust again anyway.

At our kennel, rescue dogs aren’t “less than.” They are athletes, partners, couch hogs, comedians, adventure buddies, and family. Some arrive confident. Some arrive broken. All deserve the chance to be loved, understood, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Whether your dog came from a shelter, a rescue, a rehome, or straight off someone’s “free to good home” post — they matter. Their past does not define their potential.

Here’s to the resilient ones with the old souls, the goofy smiles, the scars, the quirks, and the enormous hearts. Thank you for reminding us every day what loyalty really looks like.

Starting April 15, 2026, our daily boarding rate will increase slightly from $35 to $38 per day.

This small change helps us continue providing the safe, clean, and loving environment your dogs and cats enjoy while keeping up with rising costs.

We’re incredibly grateful for the trust you place in us to care for your pets. Your support means the world to our small business and the animals we love looking after every day. ❤️🐾

🎉🐾 Guess Who’s Back?! 🐾🎉

Pinewood Kennels is officially BACK OPEN after a little sunshine, relaxation, and recharging! ☀️

We’re refreshed, rested… and ready for all the tail wags, zoomies, and happy barks we’ve been missing. The yards are ready, the treats are stocked, and the suites are waiting for their furry guests! 🐶🐱

While we were away, we’re pretty sure the dogs were thinking:“Excuse me… why wasn’t I invited on this vacation?” 🤔

Don’t worry — their vacation starts now!

❄️☃️ We saw the snow… and said NOPE. ☀️🏝️

Pinewood Kennels is closed starting today while we make a run for warmer weather. Winter can keep doing its thing—we’ll be back soon!
