We are a 501(c)3 small dog rescue serving greater Los Angeles & the Valley. FOSTERS NEEDED! Please contact us if you wish to Foster or Volunteer!!

We are a non profit 501(c)3 tax deductible organization. We rescue the old, the injured and the over looked dogs from overcrowded Los Angeles shelters. We foster, vet, and rehab the dogs before finding them carefully screened forever homes. It takes a village, and there are many ways to contribute.

Hi AMR Friends,
I want to introduce you to our latest rescues, Shelby who is a silky terrier mix, a year old and weighs about 10 lbs. She is a little shy with new people but doing well, we are still learning about her. Finn, who is a shih tzu mix, about 8 years old, weighs about 13 lbs. He has had a pretty tough life but is still very sweet and loving. They are both available for adoption now😀💞

Hi FB Friends,
Please meet our newest rescue pup, Pixie, who was pulled from a high kill shelter. She is a Terrier mix, only 2 yrs old, weighs about 9 lbs (needs to gain a little weight). She is a little shy but does warm up pretty quick. She was found as a stray so we have no back history on her but she is OK with other dogs. She will be posted on our website soon!🥰

I need to find a foster or adopter for this little angel no later than April 9th. Her name is Elfie, she is about 4 yrs young and weighs 9 lbs. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed and good with other dogs. She would do best in a quieter home without young children. The current owners are no longer able to care for her. I want to introduce our newest rescue pup, she is a Cavalier spaniel mix, about 6 years old and currently weighs 15 lbs (but needs to gain weight). She was dumped at a high kill shelter by her previous owner. We learning about her personality, she is sweet but a little shy. More info to come😊🐾

Please welcome our newest rescue pup, Rosie. She is a Terrier Mix, 5 years old and weighs about 18 lbs. She was left tied up at the door of a local shelter. We were contacted to see if we could help, no question we were happy to take her into our group. She is very loving and cuddly, OK with other dogs with slow introduction. I want to share the two new fur babies we brought into our group. The first one is Bear, a sweet terrier/chihuahua mix, 3 years old and about 12 lbs. He was dumped by his owner at a high kill shelter and had limited time left. He is good with kids, adults and other dogs.
The second one is Denny, he is a 3 year old Westie mix, about 15 lbs. He is a cuddler, great with kids and adults and other dogs. They are both available for adoption and on our website: www.amrdog.org.😍

I want to introduce our 2 latest rescue pups, the first is Nova, an adorable chihuahua, about 9 years old (but doesn't act it!). Her owner had to move where dogs were not allowed. She is very sweet, great with kids, adults, other dogs. She is available for adoption. The 2nd is River, a schnauzer mix, about 6 years old, rescued from a high kill shelter, he had apparently been on the streets for awhile as he is very thin. He's great with people, other dogs and cats. He will be available for adoption soon.😍

I wanted to share some of our recent adoptions. Thank you Chloe for adopting our sweet Lessa girl (the fawn chihuahua), you are both very very special. Thank you Francine and Michael for adopting our Gracie girl (brown chihuahua with her new brother). We are so happy she converted you to loving small dogs! Tammy and family adopted adorable Winston (the white poodle), he has 2 sisters and is loving life. Thank you Hiram for loving seniors and adopting sweet Toby (the little white yorkie), We know what a wonderful home he will have with you and thank you for supporting Laura and AdoptMeRescue for so many years.🥰

SECOND UPDATE, LOOKS LIKE I FOUND A FOSTER, PAWS CROSSED!!!

I'm in desperate need of a temporary foster for one of our rescue pups. His name is Indy, he's about 5 years old, about 19-20 lbs, very sweet with kids and adults but reactive to other dogs so he would probably need to be the only dog in the household.
