Happy Birthday Rocky!! This is Rocky, and he turns 21 today.
When I was in the EATM (Exotic Animal Training & Management) program at Moorpark College I had the privilege of helping raise Rocky for this 1st 6 months of his life.
His mom was born in captivity so she didn't understand what was going on when she gave birth to him, so she rejected him.
That's were we got blessed with his care!!
He has had many adventures since EATM including modeling and now lives with his own species.
Rocky is helping scientists study language as he is trying to "speak". Having human "parents, aunts, and uncles" gave him a unique interest in trying to "speak" to us.
From his enclosure he asks people to show him their boo boos, inside their purses, etc.
He is a curious and wonderful boy!!! I miss you little man Rocky!!!

We've hit the teenage years for this boy! Rocky at the Indianapolis Zoo is turning 13 today and I bet that Stacie, Mary, Amy and the whole amazing team at the IOC will make sure this trouble maker has a fantastic day. Happy Birthday Rocky!

Walking with other dogs and people is one of the best ways to keep your dog social.
Is your pandemic puppy shy with people or dogs?
If your dog didn't get socialization at an early age they can become fear aggressive and antisocial.

2 years ago: Max & Zoe's parents are on vacation, so they are back with Jacqueline Gaillard at LA's Dog Trainer for some summertime fun & meet ups with old friends.Wyatt, Emmy, & Zane love their pack walks with new and old friends. These 3 Amigos help us teach puppies and fearful dogs that everything is going to be ok and that size isn't an issue to be fearful of.

11 years ago: Riley III (on the left) and her parents worked with Jacqueline at LA's Dog Trainer at the beginning of the year on her extremely dog reactivity.
Today's training session we went hiking with Lucy (middle) and Otis (right). It was amazing how much better she is by the end of the hike. Riley has 2 new friends now, yeah!!

Take our next Intermediate Obedience - AKC CGC Prep class, THIS SUNDAY, SEPT. 21st with Jacqueline Gaillard & LA's Dog Trainer to learn and practice this and other desirable behaviors and you & your dog will enjoy your walks instead of dreading them.
One of the biggest challenges we hear from our clients is when they meet another person on a walk their dog wants to meet, greet, play, or aggress at the other dog or person.
Sometimes that can become a nightmare for everyone.
Many dogs are reactive to dogs or people & can not handle this type of encounter.

Classes starting next week include: Puppy Great Start & Intermediate Obedience.
Intermediate Ob prepares your & your dog to pass the AKC - CGC Test (Canine Good Citizen).
Puppy Great Start teaches basic obedience along with addressing common issues puppy parents struggle with & we do the STAR Puppy test.
The sooner you start or come back to training, the sooner you will get the behavior you desire.
