Good morning everyone it's Mel Saturday 9-6. I got the park mowed yesterday after work. I did not mow the back half because it didn't really need it, and everywhere else did. I just wanted to get it done before the rain came. I had to do some cleanup down there too because some people aren't putting the toys back up, or cleaning up after their dogs. Please don't let this happen again, let's keep it neat and clean for everyone and their pups to enjoy! Have a wonderful day, and enjoy!

Hello everyone it's Mel here on Wednesday September 3rd. I apologize I haven't been on here much, been busy with work, and life stuff. I was notified about the trash being overfilled, and so I finally made it down tonight to switch out a new bag. Just a friendly reminder that we don't have a garbage service, so please try and take your garbage back with you if you can. The garbage is for dog waste, and chewed up animal toys. I am hoping to be able to make it down to mow sometime this week after work. Just remember that if you want to use the park, and if I'm there mowing, just come talk to me, and I can leave and come back to finish later, it is really not a problem at all. The weather is finally perfect for you and your pups to enjoy, so let them run. Thanks all, and have a great evening.

Good afternoon Melinda Reed here,Sunday afternoon 8-10-25 just wanted to let everyone know we got most of the thick brush down on the right side of the park. Had my nephew Cole and husband volunteer to help us all out. We have decided to let it sit for now, until he gets an excavator in to remove and dump it. We will try to get it done within the next couple of weeks, depending on schedule. We cleared out under some trees also, to help give your dogs some shade. Hope this helps!

Good morning, it's Friday 8-8. Just a few announcements. I was made aware of the children hanging out at the dog park. I went down and spoke to them last evening. If there are any more incidents, please let me know, and my next step is to talk with their parents. Last evening when I arrived, all the gates were open. Please close all gates when you leave, or we will have to start locking it. Also PLEASE clean up after your dogs. There has not been an issue for a very long time, but while I was weedwhacking yesterday, my boot found a fresh pile, and trust me, I was not happy! Still planning on going down after work and chopping some more of the mess on right side. Please be patient, this process will take a while. Thank you all for your support, and enjoy!

We got some of the park done. Please keep pups out of the far right thick stuff for now, we found poison ivy, some 3 inch diameter stalks of some type of vegetation with jaggers on it. I don't want any dogs getting injured. We are done until this evening, so please enjoy!

Hello everyone, it's Mel here. I wanted to do a little trimming around the park, but it's a lot. My nephew is here for a few days, and is going to help me out some. Which area would you all like to see trimmed up more for safety concerns with your pup? The big patch on the right side? Or the back fence line? Please everyone that uses the park, please answer as soon as possible because it will probably get started tomorrow. Thanks all and have a great evening!

Good morning everyone it's Thursday July 24th. It's Mel. I was notified last night about 2 children riding their bicycles over to the dog park, climbing the fence, going through people's vehicles and harassing their dogs. These are younger kids, which are not permitted to be there without an adult. This is a dog park, we do not want your children to get hurt and or bitten, please keep your children away from the park, unless they are with an adult and a dog to play in the park. Tuesday July 22, Good evening everyone, Mel here. Good news is i got the park mowed. The bad news, is my good mower broke down, so I had to use my old mower that doesn't mulch, so it doesn't look the greatest. I apologize. Have a great evening.

Good morning everyone it's Tuesday July 22nd. It's a beautiful morning out there. I finally have a day off to mow! With that being said, I'm not sure what time I can make it down to mow, but if you happen to stop by while I'm there mowing, please come over and speak to me, and I will gladly stop mowing while you enjoy the park with your pups. I always have other things to do, so it isn't a big deal at all! Enjoy the park and this weather before it turns 90 degrees again! Lol Have a great day everyone!

Good afternoon everyone it's Mel here on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Just a few announcements, the park got a fresh new haircut today, so come on out and enjoy! Please, please, please remember to pick up your dog toys when you are done at the park. You can take your toys with you, or leave them on the wishing well for other pups to enjoy. I didn't see one today and accidentally ran over it, which resulted in me blowing my mower belt! Luckily the husband came and installed another one, but please remember I mow and weedwhack using my personal items. We use our own gas, and fix out of our pocket, so please be mindful. The park is almost dry in the middle, which shocks me, due to the rain. We have decided to also start a more updated group page where everyone can introduce themselves, post pictures of their pups at the park, questions and concerns. It will be called Clarion Pups, Strattanville Dog Park. It will be set up within the next few days. A special thanks for keeping the park clean for everyone and every pup to enjoy, that makes me so happy, enjoy! Please also remember, we are saving admission money towards new fencing, and it is only $2 a day. Please keep sending me vaccination records, we need to keep this dog park safe for every pup!
