Good morning all. This post is for all my fellow sellers. If you use Venmo please be cautious. I’ve lost count of all the scammers who go through the motions of asking me about a product, shipping and then payment. They ask for my Venmo info. I give them the name on my Venmo account. Then they tell me oh it’s asking for an email for verification. No. This is not how Venmo works. Then they try saying well my account is a business account and I need to verify it’s going to the right person. No. It does not matter whether it’s a business account or personal account. Venmo does not require an email verification. Then they will say ok how about a phone number. No. You’ll get a bogus text message saying they need $500 to place a hold to verify the account. Venmo does not need this information. Please be careful.
