Novum Coral’s long term goals include contributing to reef restoration. The Novum Coral blocks are manufactured in a US manufacturer of materials for medical devices. The most stringent quality controls are maintained to assure the product is of exactly the right composition and purity. In the background you can see the x-ray diffraction equipment used to analyze the blocks as part of the product release.

Though the relationship between luminescence and coral health are complicated, it’s interesting to see the difference between the pieces on Novum Coral and regular, passive substrates. The stony coral frags growing on Novum coral as clearly more vibrant and healthy, and develop faster and look stunning! Can you guess which frags are on Novum and which are the controls?
