As we approach our final hours of business, we want to make a post about a very special kind of adoption that has taken place recently- foster fails! 🎉 Our staff members have been amazing at giving LAH’s furbabies temporary, and now forever, homes. 🩷🏠 These wonderful humans have served us in more ways than one!

Baloo is a very loving and playful 10 mo. intact male searching for a new home due to no fault of his own. He loves people and is good with other pets. He hates being alone so having another pet around or someone that primarily stays home is ideal. He is very energetic and loves going on walks! Baloo is located in California, but if someone could commit to giving him a home, his human family members are willing to transport him to Storm Lake or surrounding areas. Cinnamon’s adoption fee has been covered, and she desperately needs a home by the 19th! Cinnamon does not have a back up plan after our doors close, so she needs adoption applications asap!

Dear Valued Clients and Friends,

After many wonderful years of caring for your pets, Lake Animal Hospital will be permanently closing on December 23, 2025, as I begin my retirement.

It has been the greatest privilege of my career to serve you and your furry family members. While this decision was not made lightly, I am grateful for the time I've had to be part of your pets' lives and health. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your trust, loyalty, and friendship over the years. I will deeply miss caring for your precious companions and seeing your faces walk through our doors.

All pet medical records will be securely stored and remain available for your future veterinary needs. If you require copies of your pet's records, please contact us before December 23, 2025, or reach out after closure at [email protected]. 🔎NEEDS REHOMED🏠
Lobo, an intact German Shepherd, is in need of a new home. He is young at just a little over 1 year old, and he will have updated vaccinations next week. He is described as calm, mostly quiet, and great with kids. He has always lived outside, so it’s unsure if he is potty trained. Lobo is located in Alta, and he needs a home before the weather gets too cold.

Phoebe and Prue, our GS puppies, have received a lot of applications. We’re sure they’ll be finding homes this week, but we need just a bit more puppy food to tide them over until adoption. If anyone is able to purchase a bag and drop it off by 4:00 today, it would be much appreciated!! 💛
