🖤 Two tiny gentlemen are looking for their final address.

These Black Beauties brothers (pictured first and then the fourth boy) were returned through no fault of their own and are adoptable now. Both are black self Dumbos; one smooth, one velveteen. They must stay together.

Experienced/confident home preferred. Quiet home likely best. Potential for introductions to other boys.

🐀🖤 ADOPTABLE BOYS LOOKING FOR THEIR HOME 🖤🐀

These two sweet brothers (pictured below with dad Ozzy) were recently returned through no fault of their own, and they’re looking for the place they can finally call home.

Both are brothers from our recent Black Beauties litters. Both are sleek black selfs but one is a standard smooth coat and the other is a velveteen. They must stay together but because they’re still young, they may do well with proper introductions to other friendly boys.

They’re a little shaken from the transition and would thrive with an experienced, patient adopter who can give them some extra one-on-one time to settle in and come out of their shells. They’re very sweet, already showing little sparks of personality, and may bond closely with one or two people. A quieter, lower-stress home would likely suit them best.

Due to their current needs, we don’t recommend them for very young children or brand-new rat owners unless you’re confident in providing the patience and gentle socialization they need.

These boys deserve a soft landing and a permanent home — not another stop along the way.🖤

HEY! Did ya know… you can just make rat bedding

Those big paper sheets that come crumpled up in Amazon packages? Keep them. They make excellent big-box litter/bedding material — crinkly, dust-free, easy to replace, safer and considerably cheaper than buying bags of traditional bedding.

Basically: recycle the paper, cut it up into crinkly strips to give the rats something fun to dig through, and stop buying stuff. 🐀

Just make sure it’s plain, clean paper without inks, coatings, fragrances, exposures or other questionable extras.

Last look at our Black Beauties before these boys headed off to their new homes.

We really, really love a sleek, solid black variety here at PX. Always have. They are STUNNING!! And apparently we’re still not over it, despite the rest of the world moving on. 🖤🐀

These boys had the looks, personalities and the amazing temperaments, and we already miss them.

Turn it up! The sound of happy rats doing rat things 🤎🐭

Crinkle paper, tiny feet, curious noses, and a whole lot of investigating.

We love giving our packaging a second life — the brown paper from our Amazon deliveries gets shredded and recycled into one of their favorite enrichment dig box activities. ♻️

Simple things make the best fun.

🐀 Phoenix Gate Rattery Update 🐀

After some unexpected family and personal medical situations, we’re finally getting caught up on emails, messages, and adoption inquiries. Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding over the past few weeks.

Phoenix Gate Rattery is a small hobby rattery just outside Atlanta, Georgia, dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialized companion rats with exceptional temperaments, longevity, and health. We remain a closed RBF/Seoul Virus-Free rattery and continue to carefully plan each litter with quality over quantity always in mind.

We’re excited to get back to doing what we love most—raising incredible little companions and matching them with amazing homes. We have a handful of adorable chunky boys available and a few select non-breeder young adult girls. More updates (and adorable rat photos!) coming soon.

A little life update from PX Rats. 💛

If you’ve been waiting on a reply from me over the past week, thank you for your patience.

Life threw my family and me a few unexpected medical curveballs, so I’ve been away from my computer more than planned. The ratties have continued getting all the love and care they deserve, but emails, messages, and adoption scheduling have fallen a little behind.

I’m back and working my way through everything now. If you’ve reached out and haven’t heard back yet, you haven’t been forgotten—I promise! I’ll be responding to everyone as quickly as I can over the next few days.

Thank you all for your kindness, understanding, and support. It means the world to me, and I can’t wait to help these sweet little ones find their forever homes. 🐀💕
