I sipped my tea this morning
from a mug that reminds me
to “keep exploring.”
So, I’ll share with you
what I’ve been learning…
•
there’s a subtle message
hidden
among natural things,
and meaning
found
among the wild things —
though,
we aren’t very good at noticing.
•
like, how death and decay
bring forth new life,
how the moon phases
shadowed back to bright,
how the darkest dark
breaks at the dawn
unable to withstand
the light.
•
Nothing ever stays exactly the same
except for, of course, change;
like the seasons
that never seem to stay.
The thought of life as a circle may seem cliche,
but the circle of life is precisely the cycle
in which we can find our togethered place,
grounded in nature,
and rooted in grace.
