This virus is highly contagious and highly preventable with appropriate vaccinations. We strongly recommend boostering your dogs. The rumor mill is WRONG again! Contrary to recent rumors, our boarding is alive and well. We also have zero plans to stop providing this much-needed service. We do recommend you call early to reserve your pets’ boarding spot as we fill up most weekends. Harper and Crete (seen below) are having a great time running in our backyard during a boarding stay. We have some big changes coming to our boarding area….we will keep you posted!

My son found this gal crawling on him yesterday. She is a Lone Star tick. These ticks are fast becoming the prevalent type in our area. Beside the ick factor, Lone Star ticks can potentially cause Alpha gal syndrome in people. Alpha gal syndrome actually causes a person to become allergic to red meat so bye bye steak, hamburgers etc. Check yourself every 3-4 hours for ticks if you’re working outside and treat your pets regularly with Nexgard or Frontline to reduce potential exposure.
