What do you see?
Cat with an ear tip....
I was called to the colony, where I previously trapped this cat and had to release her right away, because she had an ear tip.
Well today I got a phone call from a colony feeder that the cat is suspiciously " pregnant looking".
I said :" no way, she has an ear tip she is fixed. Maybe tumor, maybe pyometra".
I offered the feeder lunch ,if the cat is really pregnant. Eva Kennedy from ACT Low Spay and Neuter clinic in Stockton agreed to take her next day to check and see....well .....we don't need to wait till the morning. I trapped the kitty and took it home, gave her food which she ate , and she was resting in the trap, awaiting the vet visit. Before I went to bed I decided to check on my "patient", and I heard little squeaky sounds. I said to myself, " no way" and looked into the trap. There is always the first time for everything.....she gave birth to 5 beautiful kitties. 3 black and 2 white.
I praise God that it happened in the trap in my house. It could have been in the parkinglot where she lives , it could have been in the car on the way to the vet.
Mama is friendly, and this will be her last litter, and I will find her a good home one day...maybe fellows rescuers will step-in and take her with babies, as I tiresly do TNR. Just last weekend we TnRed 36 cats. Many pregnancies prevented some terminated. Too much suffering on the streets...If you would like to foster , or rescue please contact Soks .
