The logical way to end an incredibly busy week….. load up and leave Stillwater at 3:30am to head to a show!🥳😝

We joined our friends Bunker Hill Birds - Silkies and Guinea Fowl and Top Shelf Silkies & More, and crashed the Midwest Bantam Club’s Red River Shootout in Atoka. (An all game bird show!🫣, thank you for having us out.) I learned sooo much clerking, and think some moderns will join the flock shortly.

Some new faces joined the crew today.
BV and RV Bearded Paint frizzles x2
BV and RV Bearded White frizzles x2
BV and RV Bearded Gray x2
BV and RV Bearded Blue x2
BV and RV Bearded Self Blue x2
And of course I had to bring the NSV’s!
Fancy (Bearded Chocolate) was Best NSV x2
Francine (Bearded Chocolate Paint) was Res. x2

Patricia showed her Bearded Frizzle White Naked Necks, and a pullet bred by us was BV!

Again, this week was crazy busy, but I wouldn’t want to spend my Saturday doing anything else! If you messaged this week, please bear with me as I respond back. Our show season is coming to a close and soon… it will be baby time! o

Whewwww! Our trip to Ohio did not disappoint!

My favorite part of the weekend was putting together the names, faces, and hugs, to exhibitors that I’ve only interacted with online. We stayed in a beautiful, busy, historic house, surrounded by great friends.

This being my first time to Columbus, and only our 2nd out of state show, Mom and I hauled 5 birds. We are headed back to Oklahoma with 2 BV’s and 1 RV!

🏅BV Beared Gray- BBJ (the largest class of grays I’ve seen)
🏅BV Bearded Chocolate- This is Fancy’s second time winning the chocolates at Ohio, and we got to visit with her breeder Dave from OhCountryboy Farms Silkies
🏅RV Bearded Paint Frizzle- I think by now, you all know how crazy I am for silkie frizzle feathering. It was so cool to see so many.

The car is packed full on the way home, with the few additions I made to my gray program from Starry Acres Silkies, and more birds coming back to Oklahoma for friends. Let me tell you, the Silkie game in Oklahoma is Strong💪🏼. No doubt, okie birds would be very competitive on the national level. Now, for the 12 hour drive home 🎉😝

We are wrapping the show day up here at ASBC Western Nationals hosted @ Heart of the Ozarks, in Fayetteville, Arkansas! The APA national meet.

The birds and I are home from a weekend that I’ve been counting down to, Marietta, Oklahoma at the Red River Bantam Club Show and The Love of feathers Bantam Show!

Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making it a success!🎉 Especially big thank you to our LOF Board, Jules Fluffy Butt Hut, 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘼𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬 𝙎𝙞𝙡𝙠𝙞𝙚𝙨, Bunker Hill Birds - Silkies and Guinea Fowl, and Hames poultry for alI the hardwork behind the scenes. I had such a blast spending the weekend with friends, new and old!
Our community is out there doing some big things in the show halls and in our breeding barns, but more importantly….. we build each other up and cheer for others success! Watching this, and experiencing the love first hand was the highlight of my weekend. 🫶🏼

My birds did pretty ok as well!🫣🙌🏼 I took 23 birds,and they were a part of the largest silkie show I’ve seen, 187 silkies on Sunday! I managed to only take 3 pictures. IYKYK

Betty Bop, Fancy, and Big B***y Judy made some new friends today! 🤗📚

One of my favorite parts of working with this breed is the educational side of things. From the littlest of littles, to grownup kids, these fluffy birds melt hearts and can make a poultry lover out of just about anyone! Sharing the love I have for these birds, and seeing them brighten someone’s day is priceless.🫶🏼🙌🏼

We had a hot and exhausting weekend at the Tulsa State Fair, but more importantly made lasting memories and got to visit with great friends! I took 7 varieties, 21 birds total. They BV’d and RV’d every variety!!

A big thank you to Patricia Dunlap Vento for driving up to show with me. She had a very impressive weekend, and reserved the whole show….TWICE!!🎉🍾

I also want to Congratulate Under the bridge farm for their wins in the Junior show! They walked away with RB, and multiple BV’s and RV’s!!👏🏼🎊 This family has some big wins coming their way!
