Porter originally arrived on Sept 28, 2024 along with Darby and Opal + 13 freeloaders....
Porter was kept in a crate most of the time with very little food and water. He was in horrible shape in MN. The owners were convinced to surrender him. The authorities in a rural MN county took him to the most amazing vet took him who determined he was in poor condition but was strong enough to be neutered, vetted and transported to us. With the help of our AMAZING MN volunteer team. Porter was loaded in the vehicle bound for La Crosse and then Steward, IL. You can see his UNBELIEVABLE transformation in the year he has been at DtoD All Breed Rescue. Porter now is ready for a forever home where he will continue to grow and be loved. He was under a year old when he arrived in Sept 2024.

So yesterday was Harper’s turn. Virginia and her son Richard came to look at chessies. They looked at Harper and said she’s the one! They have adopted from Joe Norkus who was with Cbrr for years. Virginia and Robert adopted a couple of hard to handle dogs from Joe so they are very experienced. Makes my heart happy to see her get a home.
