Pups are getting big and getting acquainted with our first group of lambs born last week. Our ewes are doing a good job at teaching the pups how to respect new mother’s space.

I’m loving how these pups are learning how to be around lambs at such a young age. Here is a cute set of pictures snapped right next to each other. Notice how calm this puppy is.

Earlier this fall, I was pretty sick in bed and didn’t catch that Zada was in heat. We weren’t planning to have back to back breeding, but it was too late.. At the end of November, we had a beautiful batch of pups. Zada decides where to welp, and this time it was so far under the log stack, that only my kids could reach them. The weather was beyond cold, but Zada kept them warm and thriving though it all! These pups have endured extreme cold and have thrived! They are out with our ewes & their new lambs, and are doing great!

It’s COLD here!!! These dogs are built for the cold. They have the barn open to them and a shop that they can get into as well. This is where they choose to sleep.
