🛠️ Fluff Renovation Zone 🚧

Shaving a double coat is never ideal for our fluffy friends. These coats help regulate body temperature and protect the skin from the elements, but sometimes shaving can’t be avoided because of age, medical needs, or severe matting.

While there’s always a chance the coat won’t grow back the same, with time, patience, and proper care, recovery is possible. Scroll through the photos to see Theo’s progress so far!

Theo’s owners have been dedicated to his restoration journey with regular brushing, bathing, and a balanced diet. During his salon visit, we supported his progress using Botaniqa Dog Grooming Solutions Moisturizing & Protective Shampoo and Mask, enhanced with the Regenerating Boosting Serum.

📜 What’s in a Name? 💭

As we continue celebrating our one-year anniversary, I thought it’d be fun to share the origin story behind our name!

When it came time to name my business, I knew I wanted something that felt true to me; something that blended my love of fantasy worlds with the real-world care I give every pet.

If you know me, you know I’m an avid fan of Dungeons & Dragons! One of my favorite creatures is the Blink Dog: a loyal, intelligent companion known for its ability to teleport, and its deep bond with others. To me, that perfectly captured what I wanted my business to represent: loyalty, trust, and a touch of whimsical fun.

Just like in D&D, I wanted to create a safe, inclusive space where everyone is welcome at the table (whether they have two legs or four). Here, pets are treated as individuals, and their care is tailored to meet their unique needs; making every groom a critical success! 🎲🐾

And if that wasn’t enough validation, about two weeks before opening I pulled not one, but two blink dogs from blind boxes. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bigger sign from the universe that I made the right choice. ❤️

🎉HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!🎉

One year ago, Blink Dog Pet Grooming opened our (metaphorical) doors! Since then, we've been making grooming a critical success for so many pets in the Stevens Point area and beyond!

⚠️ Important Update ⚠️

I have A LOT to say in this post, so I made a video instead of writing a whole novel for everyone to read. However, here is a brief summary of what the video covers:

🎉 Blink Dog Pet Grooming will officially be 1 year old on Oct. 7th! Keep an eye out for posts this next week and help us celebrate!

🚨 Regarding the post on Sept 21 discussing the handling of some changes in my family and suspended appointments. After much deliberation and many long nights, my partner and I have decided to move to Appleton to be closer to family.
I will be reaching out to all of my December appointments to help navigate finding a new groomer or rescheduling to an earlier date to get in before I leave. I do hope to continue grooming in the Appleton area once the dust settles from the move.

Thank you for being the best clients, friends, and support system a groomer could ever ask for. Thank you for trusting me with your pets. ❤ If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
