A bit of an update for you guys! Over the last couple weeks we have experienced a few family emergencies that have slowed us down quite a bit. After we had a miscarriage and the death of my grandmother I've been taking sometime for family and to consolidate some of my other responsibilities. As many of you know I'm not only a taxidermist but commercial Lobster fisherman during the summer and fall months. With the season getting closer I decided to step away from the shop for a week or two to get all my traps in order, relieving a a bit of stress. It's something I've done for nearly 25 years, so it's very therapeutic for me. As for timelines on work being completed, all of the 2025 European mounts should be wrapping up from degreasing over the next couple weeks. They will then be put through the peroxide and sealed, those will be getting out the door sometime hopefully June / July. The 2025 bear and moose will be mounted over the next couple weeks, I hope to have those dried and finished up throughout the summer. As for the Whitetail, I'm going to be roughing in as many as I can before we start setting traps, I'll be doing them in between jobs but it's all depending on what the fishery allows. I do plan on getting done lobster fishing earlier this season so I will be back in the shop earlier to start mounting things again. That still puts most of the Whitetail work completed and done hopefully late fall/winter of 2026/2027. Thank you all for the support and the understanding this spring, it's been a brutal one and I couldn't do it without you all!

Yes, yes I can. They are an absolute ton of work to do, but it can be done!

This bear was a special one! The first tagged bear I have gotten in the shop to mount. It also had a tattooed inner lip! Being a custom pose, it took alot of time to alter for mannequin for not only fit the skin correctly but also fit the unique piece of wood. I'm definitely going to be sad to see this one go. If you look back into my videos you can see the tiktok I made of how I altered the mannequin and roughed in the form!

I had a client that wanted his black bear in the attacking position, unfortunately the only mannequin I could get roughly in the correct size and orientation that he wanted was in a lunging forward position using the old style mouth cups. But as the saying goes, the mannequin is only a suggestion; I modified the mannequin to get a more upright position, changed the orientation of the arms and upgraded the head using a change out head from along with their reflective eyes. Custom taxidermy is a lot of work but it's worth it in the end!
Thank you Chad Gatcomb for trusting me with your blackbear!

A couple cool shoulder mounts from the last batch, and a little humor too! Happy Thursday!

April 7th 2026 update for you guys!
After a month of Facebook flagging my account and preventing me from showing new content, we are back up and running. I had to change my profile and update my working hours to get the account approved, took 6 appeals 🤣 anyway!

We have all of the 2025 Whitetail, black bear (minus a few dry tans for rugs), and moose hides back from the tannery, prepped, and ready for mounting! Waiting on only a handful of mannequins but the vast majority of supplies has been delivered so we are going to be starting mounting shortly. We have a handful of small game to mount up first as well as a few whitetails that were delivered later in the season last winter. Due to the harsh winter we just had, I decided to to hold off till last couple weeks to get my European skulls started in maceration and degreasing. I currently have eight tanks up and running so we should be seeing those finish up over the next couple months.

First dairy cow skull thats come to the shop! We seem to have a few more of these coming in as homesteading is becoming more popular.
With the bullet trama this skull took months of whitening, but worth the extra work!

The crab claw buck! This whitetail came from a very unique part of downeast maine where there has been a genetic line of "crab claw" on the end of one of the antlers, this goes back decades in this area. If you know, you know!
