Thank you Banfield staff for the thoughtful card you sent us. We still miss our little gal, and was grateful she was in your care.
Everything
After bringing my dog here for 10 years I called for a sick/emergency visit. My dog was 14 1/2 years old and for an australian shepard mix this was on the old side. We pretty much knew that this was the end for her. I called because she had appeared to have a stroke -left sided weakness, falling over, unable to lay herself down or pick herself up. They told me they would see her in a week! I was so upset already and I couldn't believe they were actually serious that they couldn't fit her in that day or the next. The only other offer was 2 days later to leave her for the day and "when they got a chance they would look at her". There is no excuse here, after 10 years they can't find time for my dog when she clearly needed to be seen!
We called Countryside Animal Clinic and they were amazing. They got us in withing 24hours and could not have been more kind or compassionate. NEVER AGAIN BANFIELD
6 years ago today, the Howdy ruptured a disk and needed surgery. thankfully, our wonderful veterinarian, Dr Megan Dolese referred us to the equally wonderful vets, nurses, techs and student vets at the Virginia–Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech
THANK YOU Dr. Dolese and ALL at Banfield and Virginia Tech for giving us 6 more years with our Howdy
I had my dog’s nails trimmed (he needs to be sedated for this) and some due vaccines administered on him last Sunday and was waiting yesterday (Monday) for a call from the hospital to check on the condition of my dog, which was customary each time I brought my dog there. After I checked him out, I noticed there was blood in my car so I assumed the nails were cut too short. My dog, as he was still groggy slept the whole afternoon when we returned home and when he woke up, he was already limping. I assumed too that this was coming from the nail being trimmed too short...until today, my dog has no appetite and created some sounds like he is in pain. This was the condition of my dog that I would have reported had the hospital called back after the procedure last Monday.
Your very own Rina or Reena (who by the way was not a great guest-contact/customer service person representing your company) told me that it is a new policy of the hospital not to be calling pet owners the day after the visit because “we already have too many customers/clients to attend to!”
Really? That’s not an acceptable reason at all and to think I have a wellness plan at Banfield?!?
We have taken our dog to Banfield in Sterling her entire life - since 2004. They have always provided the best care for her. We had to say goodbye to Kahlua last week and this final appointment at Banfield was extremely difficult for us - they were so caring and compassionate. Today we received this card in the mail. Thank you to Sterling Banfield staff. You are the best. ❤️🐶
