🐾 A little life update from The Beast Boutique 🐾

I’ve been a little quiet lately.

Truth is… I really miss my little shop at Painted Tree. I poured a lot of heart into that space, and when that chapter closed, it hit me harder than I expected. I’ve also had a few personal things weighing on my heart, and for a little while, I just didn’t have much to say.

But life has a funny way of sending little reminders that joy still finds us…

Meet Baby Bean 🐾💛

She’s tiny, curious, bold, and growing more independent by the day. In just a week, she’s gone from happily riding zipped inside my sweatshirt to wanting to explore the whole world on her own terms.

She’ll only be about half the size of my beloved Labs, which means adventures are calling — kayaking trips, bike rides, trails, and all kinds of Beast Boutique fun. I even picked up a little bike trailer for her that I’m cleaning up and getting ready for our adventures.

Sometimes healing has four paws.

I have a feeling Baby Bean is going to help me write a new chapter — and I can’t wait to share it with you all.

I had a really good time at the Painted Tree yesterday.

It’s such a big place, open 7 days a week, always bright and clean — and I can’t say enough about those dog treats at the front desk 🐾

But what’s really been happening… as I’ve been planning the April adoption days, I’ve started getting to know more of the vendors, finding their booths, exploring…

And honestly, it’s been inspiring in a way I didn’t expect.

You see all these people pouring themselves into something they care about. Creativity everywhere. Passion. Effort. Hope.

It kind of pulls you out of the stress and noise of everyday life for a minute.

Which is wild when you think about it — because it’s just sitting there in what used to be a big box store, surrounded by data centers and constant growth…

…and yet this little oasis exists.

I actually went in yesterday feeling pretty bummed.

On my way to the bathroom, I stopped at Jacci’s booth (S***k & Soul)… and something just shifted.

I ended up wandering the aisles for 30+ minutes before I even remembered what I went in there to do.

So I made her this reel 👇
She’s thinking about leaving in May, and I really hope she stays.

I hope more people discover the Painted Tree.
It really is something special.

Fun for the whole family — and yes, even the dogs 🐶

🐾✨ Celebrating Spring With Adoption Days ✨🐾

I’ve been working on a new spring portrait setup at The Beast Boutique, and I’m honestly kind of in love with how it’s coming together 💜

📸 We’re kicking things off with Portraits for a Purpose on April 11th — pet portraits printed on the spot, with part of every session going to support rescue ❤️

🐶 I’m also working hard on having adoptable dogs join us — so even just stopping by helps!

BUT I’d love your input on this…

👉 Should I start planning a Sterling Summer Pet Festival?
👉 And what (or who!) would you love to see there?

If the response is as great as I’m hoping, I’d love to make adoption days a regular thing 🐾

🐾✨ Something exciting is coming to The Beast Boutique… ✨🐾

We’re officially launching:

💛 Fur Friends Forever – Adoption Saturdays 💛

Starting this April at the Painted Tree in Sterling, VA, we’ll be hosting a small series of adoption-focused events featuring local rescues and animal nonprofits.

Our goal is simple:
👉 create a calm, welcoming space where adoptable pets can connect with the right people

April Dates:
• April 11
• April 18
• April 25

🐶 FREE for rescues to participate
🎈 Promotion + visibility
🧘‍♀️ Low-stress indoor environment (perfect for animals who don’t thrive in busy outdoor events)

We’re currently looking for a few great rescues to join us!

The Grand Opening was a BLAST!! 🐾🎉
I may or may not have eaten a few pup cups myself 😂🤣

Got to the shop and realized I forgot my printer cord — so no prints this time… but the dogs didn’t mind one bit. They enjoyed their pup cups, posed for pics, and I got to meet some amazing people. Such a fun day!

Now onto something really exciting…

I’m starting to organize 🐾 Fur Friends Forever 🐾 — adoption Saturdays at the Painted Tree in Sterling!

✨ FREE for rescues
✨ We’ll have booth space available
✨ Promotions + visibility
✨ A calm, low-key environment (great for adoptees who don’t do well in chaotic settings)

I’m currently planning three Saturdays in April (skipping the first weekend) and looking to bring in about 4 rescues to start.

Stayed up until midnight battling video gremlins tonight… and I think I finally defeated them. 😂
