I have been down for surgery, I am doing well. Sleeping a lot and healing. Hope everyone is doing well. I got pictures of Rags and Shorty as foals. I love Rags long legs and I cannot get over how much Shorty's color has changed . Aren't they the cutest .

Bit behind on updating, sad to say that we lost my son's horse at the end of January when it got cold and ice. Venti stopped eating and drinking. No matter what we did she wouldn't. On the fourth day when it warmed up she ate a little and drank a little but not enough for me to put her back out. That afternoon she laid down and went to sleep. We sure miss you but we are thankful for the time we had.

At the beginning of December I kept looking at a gelding and a mare. The gelding was adopted so I took it as a sign the mare was supposed to be mine. Plus my mom loved bays with no white. (My mom passed away in December of 2024). I couldn't help it, I adopted Rags. She came from the same rescue I got Shorty from. It's a rescue that takes in thoroughbreds when they are done racing or some like Rags who didn't make it to the track and now need a new career. Nothing wrong with Rags, she's got a few quirks but so does everyone else out here. I'm excited to see how much more she grows and if she likes trails and barrel racing.

So probably back in late September early October. My child decided to come to me and say Mom. I want to ride with your horses are too tall. Really don't blame him. They kind of are. So I just happened to be looking on Facebook and I came across a really cute mare. We took one look at her and decided yep Venti is coming home with us. So everyone meet Venti. The first two pictures were from her sale ad.
