I think i’m going to start something a little new!
🍸 INFO SUNDAYS 🍸
This Sunday I want to talk about balance.
In my opinion, I think balance starts in the feet. If your horse isn’t balanced in its feet it will throw everything else out of wack. Having a good farrier is so incredibly important for so many reasons! I think especially for people who have horses with feet issues this is so important! Whether your horse had an injury from the past or if you always feel some sort of front end lameness. The other thing about balance is go get the X-rays, show your farriers those X-Rays, and ASK YOUR VET how he thinks your horse needs to be shod to be sound and BALANCED!
Now if your vet looks at your X-Rays and says “he’s really balanced” then you know hey maybe my balance issues are coming from something else.
The something else, this could be a riding issues, a medical issue, or a way the horse is made and causing your equine athlete to be compensating for somewhere else. This is where I say TALK TO YOUR VET and see what you can do for your horses muscular system to help them become balanced! A balanced horse is a comfortable horse!
Please feel free to leave opinions, questions, and anything else in the comment section! I’d love to discuss this more!
