After 11 years, the Pet Neuter Clinic in Stephens City is changing ownership. Dr. Carol Maben is retiring at the end of April and will be selling the practice to Dr. Judy Moffett. Dr. Moffett will continue performing the low cost spays and neuters of cats and neuters of small breed male dogs starting early June. The phone number will remain 540-868-0000.

Today is a very difficult day. Bear has been coming to my shop since 2012. He was just a puppy. His dad went to work at 4am, so either I or Crystal would pick him up at his house and bring him to daycare. He boarded at my house when dad traveled due to his anxiety to being in a kennel at night.

We knew this was coming, but it doesn't make it any easier. His dad called me at midnight last night and asked me to go with him today to the Vet. He had lost all use of his legs. Tyrone, Haywood and I lifted him into the back of my car and I drove him for his final car ride.

Rest in Peace Bearsie.
