Price List 2026
Cleaning:
$18 for coolers, liners, mini blankets and other similar items.
$20 for fly sheets
$24 for turnout sheets
$26 for light & medium wt. blankets
$28 for heavyweight blankets
Add $2 for anything over 84"
Full hoods separate or attached $6.
Waterproofing is $22 for blankets $4 for hoods.
Repairs are $35/hour plus cost of materials.

**I am offerring a discount for customers who drop off and pick up their own/ their barns blankets either from my workshop or Dover Saddlery at Brier Creek**

Remember to get me those heavyweights early to hold your place in line early in the season to get them back long before you will need them!
I have created a new form for this year with a few additions and I will be requiring that everyone fill it out this year.

Well its a new year and I know with the current cold temps no-one is thinking about sending blankets out for services, but soon enough our NC spring temps will start to show themselves and it will be time to book your blanket services for this spring.

'Tis the season...
"Why are my blankets taking so long?"

One of my fellow horse blanket professionals posted a post like this to her business page today, I felt it in my bones. I have wonderful customers for sure and it makes it all worth it when they voice how happy they are with my services. However as the end of the summer draws near I get a lot of these texts from worried customers. I thought writing about why it takes me all summer to work through everyones blankets might help reassure that its not because I forgot or because I am not taking it seriously.

"Why are my blankets taking so long?"
I get this question every year when the temps begin to drop. Please, allow me to explain...
This year alone, I've done around 2500 blankets.
"But you've had my blankets since May! They should be done by now!"
If you sent blankets any time after May 1st, I already have 1000+ blankets in the que. I know sometimes people have to wait extra for a pick-up. I offer pick up and delivery but getting the washing, waterproofing and repairing done has to come first.
I take in blankets any time and its easiest for me to do pick-up service in February, March and April...Once May gets here it gets difficult and stressful. Thats why sometimes when you message me in June I cannot get to picking yours up until August, because I have limited storage for dirty blankets and I am buried under a huge pile of them that must be ready before it gets cold....

In a perfect world, yes, I would love to have them all done by Sept 1st, but this is a full time job and I am at the mercy of the weather, materials availability (This year my waterproofing supplier had a 2 week backorder that had me piling up blankets for waterproofing for 3 weeks by the time they got me re-stocked...Im still trying to work through them) family needs, etc.
I can't even begin to explain how much time blankets take. Each and every one of them is tagged, logged in my digital spreadsheet, washed, waterproofed (if selected), hung to dry, hauled up my stairs to my workshop, hand inspected, repaired, folded, bagged, labeled, hauled back down my stairs. I take very little time off from blankets. My breaks are consumed with folding a few more blankets, answering texts, calculating totals, balancing invoices. My days off, weekends, meal breaks....all consumed with blankets. I dont see my own horse all summer.
Please know that I am working as fast as I can. My goal is to get everyones blankets returned by 10/1 give or take a little.

My phone is not working, I have discovered that it has not been actually sending most outgoing texts and not getting incoming texts about 50% of the time for about a week now =( I am not ignoring you I promise!
Going today to my carrier to see if I can get this sorted out quickly!
This is the craziest time of year for this to happen to me with the cooler weather on the horizon and customers need in their blankets done!

During the winter months, when blankets are on the horses instead of in my work shop, I sew clothing for horses, dogs and people. This is my latest horse creation, and i'm super proud of it!

I have been busy on the smaller sewing machine now that blankets are on the horses instead of my sewing tables. Look at this beautiful creation! I am so proud of how nice it turned out!

As blanket season winds down crafting season picks up. I have pulled my embroidery machine out of storage and fired it up and will once again be offering embroidered blanket tags.
Lots of colors available and several clip types. Can also embroider other items as well.
Regular or light clip blanket tags are $10 each single side up to 8 letters $14 double sided up to 12 letters total. Extra letters are $1 each.
For stainless steel split ring or heavier clips add $2

I have been asked many times over the years to make fleece coolers. I was afraid and a little intimidated by the thought of creating something so large and how to even get the materials at a reasonable price. I have finally taken that leap and can create your vision of a show fleece cooler or a fun/functional fleece.
