This is why i try to inform people about frenchies. They’re wonderful dogs but have great potential for serious health issues. Breathing problems that can require surgery, stomach and skin issues. The scariest is back trouble. I took in a male frenchie a while back that had had back surgery ($5000) so he could walk again (paralyzed). He still had limited use of his back legs and wore a diaper. 2 1/2 years later he shook his head really hard and he was paralyzed again. He had to be put down. “Back yard” breeders are out to make money. Period. Breeding frenchies is dangerous. They tend to have to have c sections because they have trouble getting through the birth canal. If you have to have one go through a reliable breeder, preferably with years of experience. I have had 5 frenchies brought to me for rehoming and look how small Columbus is. Research your breed before you buy!
