Meet Summer – Your New Best Friend! 🐾
Summer is a young, energetic sweetheart with a zest for life and a heart full of love. Summer is a 1-year-old mixed breed who weighs around 40 pounds. She came to ADA with her 6 young babies. Her pups have been adopted and now she’s looking for a home of her own. Summer is always up for playtime and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making her a great addition to a multi-pup home.
This girl loves nothing more than being with her people—whether that’s cuddling on the couch, following you around the house, or joining you for adventures. She can be a little shy when meeting new people or facing unfamiliar situations, but with patience and kindness, she warms up beautifully.
Summer is clever and curious—so clever, in fact, that she can jump a fence! She’ll do best in a home with secure, high fencing or with someone committed to leash walks and supervised playtime.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, snuggle close, and keep life full of joy, Summer is ready to leap into your heart (and maybe your arms!).
Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and Bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
