Sorry for the short notice URGENT UPDATE
BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR OF STAUNTON
To the Citizens and Businesses of Staunton:
Please be advised that there will be traffic striping on Main Street on Thursday, June 4th. To ensure the safety of our road crews and to allow proper drying time, the following traffic changes will be strictly enforced and violators towed at the owner’s expense.
• Location #1: Main Street, stretching from Route 4 to Laurel Street starting at 7 AM on June 4th until the proper curing time to dry the striping paint. This section will only be closed for a short period of time.
• Location #1: Main Street, stretching from Laurel Street to Madison Street. Closures will be from 7 AM on Thursday, June 4th until proper drying time on June 4th. This will likely take most of the day.
Important Notes for Drivers & Residents:
• No Though Traffic: The designated stretch of Main Street will be completely closed to all vehicular traffic during these periods
• Parking: Please ensure all vehicles are moved off the street prior to 7:00 AM in designated areas to allow for preparation and painting operations.
