Barn Rules & Expectations – Please Read
At Dream Catcher Farm, we work hard to keep things running smoothly, safely, and affordably. We are able to offer lower-cost board because we are primarily a pasture board facility and not a full-care, full-day staffed barn. That means we rely on everyone doing their part.
These rules are simple, fair, and non-negotiable.
General Rules
• Clean up after yourself — including manure, hay, and farrier messes.
• Farriers: Any mess left behind must be cleaned up by the owner.
• Shut all stall doors and gates — even if the stall is empty.
• No use of stalls without asking first. Always let us know the reason prior.
• Stall use fees:
– $10 for up to 12 hours
– $20 for 24 hours (includes two cleanings, extra hay, etc.)
• Please inform us anytime your horse is taken off the property so we are aware and not concerned.
• Clean the wash stall after every use.
• Turn lights off when you leave. No exceptions.
• Be respectful to everyone — boarders, trainers, farriers, and staff.
• NO SMOKING anywhere on the property.
Property & Safety
• Per your board contract, if your horse is destructive to fencing, troughs, buckets, or property, you will be charged for repairs or replacements.
• If your horse is dangerous or aggressive in the barn area, keep them as far from other horses as possible. Safety comes first.
• Covered arena time:
– If you need it alone: 20 minutes
– If sharing: no time limit — just be respectful
• Always check to see if the outdoor arena is open — weather conditions may close it to prevent damage.
Additional Expectations
• Close gates behind you at all times.
• Do not feed or handle horses that are not yours without permission.
• Dogs must be under control and respectful of horses and people.
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• If you see an issue (loose horse, broken fence, water problem), notify us immediately.
These rules exist to protect the horses, the property, and the people here. We appreciate everyone doing their part so Dream Catcher Farm remains a safe, respectful, and affordable place for all.
Thank you for understanding and cooperating.
