The Bulloch County Animal Services Come adopt a pet today!

08/31/2025

🌞 Good Morning, Friends! 🌞

We hope to see everyone today between 12 PM and 3 PM — it's going to be a great day!

We also wanted to share a little update on everyone’s favorite boy, Orion 🐾💙
Last night, he got to spend some time outside the shelter with one of our amazing staff members… and he had an absolute blast! 🎉

Orion went for walks, got tons of love, and discovered that belly rubs might just be his new favorite thing. He soaked up all the attention and was such a good boy the whole time.

Orion is really hoping that today is his day — the day he finds his forever home. 💫

Come out and meet him (and all our other adoptable pets)! You just might fall in love. 💕

📍 See you from 12 to 3!

🐾 THANK YOU SO MUCH! 🐾

We are so incredibly grateful for the generous donations of treats we’ve received — thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 💛

These treats are more than just tasty snacks for the pups — they are powerful tools that help our dogs feel safe, loved, and calm. Many of the dogs who come through our doors are scared, anxious, or unsure of the world around them. Having healthy, comforting treats on hand helps us build trust, encourage positive behavior, and reduce stress.

🐶 Did you know? Treats can help lower cortisol levels (the stress hormone) in dogs. They also serve as positive reinforcement during training, which helps dogs feel more confident and connected to their caregivers.

Whether it’s during their first few moments in a new environment, working through training, or just warming up to human affection again — these treats are making a real difference.

Your kindness is felt in every wag, every happy tail thump, and every quiet moment of comfort. Thank you for standing with us and our dogs. 🐕💕

With gratitude,
Bulloch County Animal Services
