We provide dog daycare and overnight lodging, as well as full grooming services. We understand how difficult it can be to leave your dog someplace new, and we want to provide the best possible care to ensure they have fun, and hopefully make some new friends too! We are a cage-free environment, allowing for the dogs to play and socialize with each other. We do, however, also have private rooms ava

ilable for dogs with special needs. Because we are a cage-free environment, there is a screening process for first-timers to ensure the safety and well-being of all the dogs in our care. Most dogs are able to adapt to the environment fairly quickly, but safety is always our top priority and we appreciate your understanding. We offer a free trial day for locals! Our facility is unlike any other in the Tahoe area, and we strive to provide the best care possible. Some of the amenities that set us apart are:

- Webcams: We want you to have peace of mind knowing that your dogs are in good hands. The webcams stream a live-feed of the main den areas inside our facility, allowing you to check on your dog at any time using your smartphone!

- Nature Walks: Although most dogs love to be in the main den with their friends, they also LOVE to go for walks! We feel it is important to give them some time outside in the fresh air and take a break from all the action indoors. All of the dogs in our care are walked in the morning and afternoon, unless they are unable, or if you would prefer otherwise. We are happy to cater to your dogs specific needs, and group the dogs together based on their walking ability.
* We also have a treadmill available for dogs that have an abundance of energy and need a little extra exercise.

- No Overcrowding: Unfortunately this is a lesson we learned the hard way after accepting more dogs than usual on a busy holiday weekend. It was very chaotic, and since then, we have made the decision to limit the number of dogs that we will accept at one time. We want to provide your dog with loving, personalized care, and that can be difficult to do when the facility is overcrowded. When the space gets too crowded, anxieties build, creating a potentially unsafe environment for the dogs and our staff. Please make your reservations in advance to ensure we have space available.

- Private Rooms/Crates Available: Often times we have dogs with special needs, whether that be recovering from surgery, old age, or simply being overly anxious around other dogs. We have several private rooms available to ensure your dogs' comfort at all times. We also have crates available for dogs that are crate-trained.

- Grooming Services: We offer full grooming services, from nail trimming to giving your dog a completely new look! Many owners like to schedule their dog for a bath on the day they are being picked up. What better than to pick up your dog, happy and smelling so fresh and clean?! Reflection and Rejuvenation......... if we had no change we would not grow, if we did not grow we would have no change. It’s pretty clear when you think about it but no where in there did I say it was easy. This post is not meant to be sad although it is, rather just to reflect,acknowledge, appreciate, and keep the faith. Faith in what you do and who you are Isthe strongest tool to have I had a lot of faith that Tails and Trails would succeed, and it did. It is now time however to say goodbye, fair well and look forward. I built this business from ground up with the help of my Dad, mom, and so many people that have helped along the way to many to name.11 years!!!! Has come and gone and I have so many amazing experiences, stories happy or sad, relationships built, tears shed, blood shed, over 7,000 dogs in the system and I was not very good at paperwork so I am sure there is more. From my first 2 dogs Elliot who was with me through the final stages of construction to miss pricilla poopy pants. I will never forget all of the amazing interactions I had with so many dogs and a pig named Henry. The stories are endless from rubber bands being pulled out from a dogs but, roller skating with the dogs to give them exercise. to holding a dog in my arms as they passed this adventure has made me a better human. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported Tails and Trails and trusted your precious babies to us. I have had some pretty amazing team members that got me through times when I could not be there took on the huge job of taking care of peoples animals and I am forever grateful to all of you. I am not stopping just changing. I will continue my efforts in rescue with Tahoe Tails and Trails Rescue Sanctuary INC. and....... FUR N FENDERS Mobil grooming will be up and running the first week in June. “To all the dogs I have loved before “ you are good dogs some just misunderstood but we all are in this crazy world called life. I lived my life for you I always did what was best for you and I will be forever grateful for your trust, even if you peed on my leg!!!! As things are quickly changing I am adapting and making changes. Now offering grooming only as I have not had any day care or boarding for couple weeks. I will be able to groom as your dogs hair will continue to grow. I am ONLY offering curb side drop off and pick up. I am taking extreme precautions with not taking in any outside leashes collars etc. and immediately do a wipe down on the dog. I am hopeful to be able to re open when the coast is clear. Hi!!! Just want to let everyone know that we are going to remain open at this point for all your furry friends to come play...HOWEVER we will be having limited hours as we are extremely slow due to what’s happening in the human world right now. Please call before you come over to drop off or pick up. We are usually extremely flexible with drop off and pick up, but we will need to make some changes at this point to avoid closing.

REMINDER We do have 2 dogs available for adoption!!!! Now would be a great time to bring new life into your home and have time to bond with them! We are waiving the adoption fee at this time. Thank you and stay safe everyone! ❤️🐾❤️

We are still looking for the owner! No luck yet with the initial post, and nobody has contacted animal control about it. Was found wandering near Kingsbury Grade and Highlands Drive in Stateline, NV on 12/31, no tags or microchip. Please share and contact us if you have ANY information! Thank you!

Brady is so adorable! Just look at this face! 🤗💙 He has been doing great with us and is making lots of new furry friends. Brady is a 7 year old male lab mix who was recently surrendered to us. RECOGNIZE THIS CUTIE?!?! He was just brought to us by a good citizen. He was running loose near Kahle Dr, Stateline NV. No tags, but we will get him to a vet to see about microchip.
