Happy National Golden Retriever Day! 🐾💛

Days like this remind me why I fell in love with this breed in the first place - the joy, the loyalty, the goofy personalities, and the way they make even the coldest days feel warm. ❄️

Golden Retrievers are so much more than just a pretty face. Originally bred to retrieve waterfowl, they are athletic, intelligent, and incredibly eager to please. They are known for their friendly, trustworthy temperaments, deep love for people, and their ability to do it all — from family companion to therapy, service, hunting, and sport dogs.

But what truly sets a Golden apart is their heart. They don’t just live alongside their families, they bond deeply. Goldens have a way of making life brighter in every season.

At Whiskey River Golden Retrievers, we are so grateful to raise these amazing dogs and to be part of the families the puppies grow into. Watching them grow from playful puppies into loyal, loving companions is something we never take for granted.

Here’s to the dogs who steal our socks, our hearts, and every bit of personal space. 🐶✨

Fresh snow on the ground means one thing around here… nonstop running and snowy floofs bouncing around. Add in Gus and his snow rolls (Golden Retriever snow angels 😂) and those big, goofy smiles, and it makes for a perfect snow day. 🥰

I love these precious babies soooo much! 🫶🏼 They are happy, loved and living their best life. These beautiful faces are the heart behind our program- the parents who have helped bring such special puppies into the world and the ones who eventually will. 🐶
