It's that time of year! 🥵☀️ Welcome Summer... and that means new precautions for your Pooch. While we all know about not leaving our dogs in cars, we see soooo many people attend weekend events and even late day walks on VERY hot pavement.

A simple test, place the back of your hand on the pavement (especially asphalt) before walking your dog; if it's too hot for you to comfortably hold your hand on for 10 seconds, it's too hot for your dog!! Sending cool thoughts your way! 🥰

What is a Sniff Enrichment room? Dogs LOVE using their noses. They want to sniff and explore as many different things as they can. What does this provide them? SO MUCH!!

Sniffing engages a dogs brains through scent exploration. Encourages calm, focused behavior.
Reduces boredom and destructive behavior
while Allowing dogs to use their innate
sniffing and tracking skills.

Free dog microchips for the first 60 dogs!

EAS is partnering with Divisha Mandal of Bow-Bow Ties to offer free microchips to dogs. This is in part thanks to a grant from Roots & Shoots USA, a program of the Jane Goodall Institute.

Microchipping your dog is a simple, safe, and permanent way to ensure they can be identified if lost. Unlike collars or tags, a microchip can’t fall off or be removed. It provides a reliable way for shelters and vets to contact you quickly, greatly increasing the chances of a happy reunion with your pet.
