Dr. Christopher Moyer grew up in the town of Shaftsbury, located in the great State of Vermont. While he did not grow up on a farm, it was his work at a local feed store that helped build the foundation towards his veterinary career.

Dr. Moyer attended veterinary technician school at SUNY Delhi and transferred to Cornell University and obtained a bachelor’s in science. At Cornell, Dr. Moyer was a member of the varsity polo team and coached the first-year squad for 2 years after graduation. Additionally, Dr. Moyer worked at Cornell University Hospital for Animal’s Equine and Nemo Farm Animal Hospital for 3.5 years as a licensed veterinary technician.

Dr. Moyer attended Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine located in Harrogate, Tennessee and graduated with cm laude. During his time at LMU CVM, Dr. Moyer was involved with many clubs and organizations and served as Vice President elect and Vice President of the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association. During his time at LMU, he also had the privilege of attending the Veterinary Leadership Experience organized by the Veterinary Leadership Institute which embraces and guides veterinarians and veterinary students to become one’s most authentic self and practice leadership and servant leadership.

The passion to learn and provide top quality care while focusing on communication with owners is the keystone to Dr. Moyer’s approach to veterinary medicine. His skills and previous experiences working with a variety of species provides insight and adaptability to diverse situations. The ability to nourish relationships and be a community member of the wonderful Hudson Valley region creates excitement for Dr. Moyer to be a part of the Bentley Veterinary Team!

During time away from the practice, Dr. Moyer enjoys spending time with his wife, Cara Rosenbaum DVM, fishing, hiking, running, working on the homestead, woodworking, polo, and exploring restaurants and breweries!

Dr. Moyer and his wife currently have two wonderful dogs, Sansa and Arya (which he would argue are the best in the whole world) and two horses, a retired polo pony, Reina, and a Canadian Sport horse/pony (Cara’s one true love), Moonstruck.

Dr. Teddy Chase grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Chase’s love of soccer brought her to the Pennsylvania State University, where she played on the varsity women’s soccer team and majored in Animal Science through the College of Agriculture.
During her senior year of college, the women’s soccer team won the program’s first National Championship. A reproductive physiology course with a heavy dairy component inspired Dr. Chase to pursue a yearlong internship at the University of Pennsylvania’s Marshak Dairy prior to starting veterinary school.

Dr. Chase’s year at Penn’s dairy farm introduced her to working in the milking parlor, calvings, trouble-shooting farm equipment, how to run down loose cows, and everything in between. She met many influential coworkers and veterinarians that further solidified her love for large animal medicine and the people that it attracts.

Dr. Chase continued onto the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Veterinary Medicine in August 2017. She worked at the dairy in her free time, helping to milk and train new student employees. She was a treasurer for the Food Animal Club and worked as a Zoetis student representative where she helped to organize educational events for her peers.

In school, some of Dr. Chase’s most educational experiences included a large animal surgery course using a feral pony from the school’s herd, participating in the foal watching program, and the food animal surgery and medicine rotation.

Graduating from Penn in May 2021, she moved to the Hudson Valley and joined Bentley Veterinary Practice in June 2021. So far, her interest in small ruminant health care management, cattle herd health and reproduction, and neonatal care have flourished.

Dr. Chase is thrilled to be working as a new veterinarian in collaboration with Dr. Angell, Dr. Clas and Dr. Moyer.

Dr. Chase is an active member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

When not engaged in caring for animals, Dr. Chase might be found coaching pee-wee soccer, exploring the outdoors, running or reading at home with her repurposed barn cat Bouche and adopted cat Softie Cat Rosie.
