Mikey, Precious, Ben & Buddy

These four pups came from the same home and are all between the ages of 4 and 6 years old. Since their time here at our shelter Mikey, Precious and Buddy have started to let their guard down and trust our staff, once they feel safe, they are such loving dogs. Unfortunately, Ben is struggling to come around and is extremely scared, but we aren't giving up!

These pups have spent most of their lives indoors hardly ever going outside. They have not been socialized well but have such a sweet temperament and we have noticed that with time and patience they come around quickly. Although they have spent majority of their lives together, we believe they will thrive in separate homes.

Meet Cheddar 🐾🧀

Cheddar is a 2 year old spunky pup ready for his forever home. He arrived at our shelter matted and with an injured paw which isn't broken but has serve muscle atrophy from a possible old injury. The doctors believe that with rehab it is possible for Cheddar to rebuild the muscle.

Cheddar is truly a gem; he loves everyone he meets and even seems dog friendly. In a shelter environment it is hard to determine but we believe he is housebroken as well. Cheddar loves playing with toys and can keep himself entertained but also would enjoy being curled up on the couch with his owner. The ideal home for Cheddar would be a one story home with an owner that will be committed to rehab.

Meet Uno 🐾💙

I am a Great Dane mix that is 7 months old. I wandered the streets of Stamford, feeling scared and bearing wounds on my body. I got better quickly thanks to my friends at the shelter ❤️‍🩹. Nothing lifts my spirits like walking and playing with toys 🧸, though treats definitely have a special spot in my heart. Even though I’m okay, I can’t shake off my worries. I get really nervous when the leash goes around my head, loud sounds freak me out, and I howl and tend to run away when people come up to me for the first time. I need a family that’ll take it slow to show me the world isn’t too scary and will keep loving me as I grow up. If you want to know more about me and my friends at the shelter, just call us or stop by!🐶Stop by the shelter anytime from 8 to 4; we’d really like to see you! 💚

Spaying/neutering is the solution to reducing shelter intake and kill numbers, reducing the number of dogs dumped in the streets and abandoned in the woods, and reducing the number of dogs given away to dog abusers over the internet.
Spaying/neutering is how we save tens of thousands of lives now, and for years to come
There is no way to rescue - or adopt - our way out of the crisis in the US. Rescues everywhere need to start focusing on this.
