Fighting food insecurity through cultivating fresh fruits and veggies for our community. Fairgate Farm is an organization promoting the sustainable development of the West Side neighborhood of Stamford, Connecticut by creating opportunities for residents to positively engage with their community through the operation of a socially responsible urban farm.

Our last big volunteering event of the season will be focused on getting our garlic planted in the ground! Come get your hands in the soil as we prepare the Farm for winter. Bring your own beverages to enjoy with fresh farm pizza during a celebration following the work day.

Farmer's Pick: Blue Adirondack Potatoes 🥔

This variety of potatoes is a beautiful blue throughout. They have a creamy, almost nutty texture, similar to Yukon gold potatoes. Whether you serve them mashed, roasted or in a potato salad, they will make your dish one to remember.

🎃 Join us for some Halloween festivities for all ages, shop our Farmstand and take home delicious apples from local farmers.

This will be our season’s last Saturday Farmstand with these hours. After that, the Farmstand will be open from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturdays until our Farmsgiving on November 21.

Thank you to everyone who came to our Harvest Festival! It was a perfect sunshiny day and we had lots of fun activities on the Farm for all ages. A huge thank you to our music folks for the tunes and our amazing vendors.

Did you know that Fairgate Farm has a hydroponics facility right across the street? This is a temperature – and light-controlled room where we grow hundreds of different plants using a water-based mineral nutrient solution instead of soil.
