Project Precious Rescue is the love child of two animal rescuers who were unsatisfied with working for others. We rescue on our terms, dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, we do not discriminate against breeds, and we follow our own rules and beliefs in the best interest of the animals. We keep it as simple as that. We are a small scale rescue with ever changing adoptables, so please check in frequently to find your new best friend!

How cute are these Aussie/Poodle mix puppies?! 😍

These sweet, playful little scruffy-fluffies are brand new to PPR and looking for foster or foster-to-adopt homes. They are full of personality, love to play, and are guaranteed to keep you smiling!

Interested families should be prepared for all the fun (and work!) that comes with raising a puppy. These babies will need training from scratch, patience, consistency, and lots of love as they learn the ropes. Puppy antics included at no extra charge! 🐶💕

🐾 ADOPT MOOSE 🐾

Meet Moose, a handsome white and tan Shih Tzu mix with a heart full of love and a hopeful spirit. At approximately 2 years old and 18 pounds, Moose is looking for a patient, loving family to help him write the next chapter of his story.

Moose's journey hasn't been an easy one. He was found abandoned, his coat so severely matted that it was tangled down to his skin. It was clear he had been neglected and left without the care every dog deserves. Despite everything he's been through, Moose has remained remarkably sweet, trusting, and ready to love again.

This happy, friendly little guy enjoys meeting people and does well with other well-mannered dogs. He also gets along with cats and would much rather be their friend than chase them. While he'd enjoy having a canine companion, he's equally happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only pup.

Moose is potty trained, loves daily walks, and can often be found carrying around a squeaky toy. He's incredibly food motivated and already learning basic commands like "sit"—proof that he's a smart cookie who enjoys learning. When the day is done, Moose's favorite place is right beside you on the couch, where he'll gently nudge you for more pets if you dare stop too soon.

He sleeps quietly in a pen overnight and has shown no signs of separation anxiety. Moose does, however, need a home committed to continuing his training, particularly when it comes to managing some mild resource guarding. Because of this, he is looking for an adult-only home where his family can provide consistency, patience, and understanding as he continues to work through the effects of his past and learn that he is finally safe.

Underneath it all is a loving, loyal dog who simply wants a family of his own. Moose has so much love to give and is searching for a gentle, compassionate home that will give him the patience, security, and affection he has always deserved.

STILL NO INTEREST IN OUR SWEET BOY BEAR...

Bear lost his home a few months ago due to no fault of his own. He was over grooming and losing fur with no explanation, and never taken to a vet for further diagnosis.

A bunch of home remedies later, he was left with damaged skin, fried fur, and we received the plea to help him. He was moved into a foster home, where he hid for 3 weeks under our foster's bed, hardly even coming out to eat. It was clear his skin issues were caused by stress in his previous environment, because slowly but surely his fur started to grow back.

Fast forward to now - he's back to being a handsome, social floof and needs a loving home! He gets along with dogs but is shy and easily bullied with cats. He'd thrive with a patient family willing to give him time to settle in. Once he's comfortable he is the sweetest boy with a wonderful personality! He just needs someone to give him a chance.

URGENT - TY IS LOSING HIS FOSTER HOME AND WE NEED A NEW FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT FAMILY QUICK! 🐾

Ty is estimated to be 3-4 years old, and is a purebred Standard Poodle weighing around 60 pounds. He’s truly as sweet as they come. This lovable boy has a wonderful personality and so much love to give. He quickly becomes everyone’s best friend and absolutely loves meeting new people. Ty thrives on companionship and being part of the family.

Ty is crate trained and is fully housebroken. He can be trusted out of a crate when left alone and is not destructive in the home. He sleeps soundly through the night for 8–9 hours and is generally a very quiet dog, only barking occasionally if he hears an unusual noise outside.

This handsome guy enjoys his routines, especially his long morning walks, and he always has a healthy appetite! Like many curious pups, he has occasionally been known to “counter surf,” and he could benefit from some continued work on basic commands/training and leash walking. He will also need regular professional grooming every 4-6 weeks to keep him looking and feeling his best!

Ty is still learning about how to interact with new dogs (he has been around them in previous living situations), so proper slow introduction and a separate space for him to decompress will be necessary for safe integration. We prefer he goes to a home without cats at this time.

We think Ty would thrive in a forever home where he has plenty of companionship during the day, as well as plenty of structured exercise. He would likely do wonderfully with an active and experienced family (kids age 8+) who would enjoy playing with him and including him in daily life. A fenced yard is ideal.

From parvo survivors to forever family members… Tilly & Teddy got the happiest ending imaginable! 💕

These two tiny fighters have officially made a full recovery from parvo and are absolutely thriving in their foster home. Through every scary moment, every medication, every sleepless night, they leaned on each other. Their bond is truly something special — where one goes, the other follows. They adore each other and have become inseparable.

And now for the best part… their foster family completely fell in love and decided they couldn’t imagine life without them. Tilly & Teddy are officially HOME forever. 🐾

Thank you so much to Jessie and family for opening your hearts and home to these babies, for loving them through recovery, and ultimately deciding to make them permanent members of your family. We truly could not imagine a more perfect ending for these two!

After such a hard start, seeing them healthy, loved, safe, and cherished beyond words is everything rescue is about. ❤️

✨ Everyone meet Miscio! ✨

This teeny little ball of fluff was found all alone outside, and when we saw his plea for help, we knew we had to step in. 💔🐾

The kind finders were doing their best, but with no kitten experience, they had been feeding him human baby formula. By the time he came to us, this tiny guy was incredibly weak, and honestly… we weren’t sure he was going to make it. We feared he may have aspirated, and things felt very touch-and-go those first few days.

But thanks to the dedication and experience of our amazing foster Michelle, this little fighter slowly started to turn a corner. 🥹 Tiny steps, tiny purrs, tiny victories.

Right now we are hopeful for a good outcome, but kittens this small are extremely fragile and high-risk. Miscio is still not out of the woods yet, and he requires around-the-clock care, monitoring, special supplies, formula, heating support, and lots of love.

Please keep this sweet baby in your thoughts as he continues to fight. 💜

We wanted to say THANK YOU to our friends at Elicit Brewing Co - Fairfield for hosting an amazing event last night for the collab beer launch of Super Duper Juice Bag with $1 from each beer donated to us.

On hand was collab partner Super Duper We**ie with their food truck and our friends at Lucky One Lemonade.

It was a great turnout ~ we loved seeing alumni families, old friends and many new friends! Luigi walked the red carpet and was interviewed 😂 by News 12 Connecticut's Justin (we will post a link for you to watch!). Both our adoptable pups Claudius and Lucius were showered with adoration all night long. (Now let's get these boys adopted!!!)

Today we celebrate the incredible dogs who got a second chance... 💜🐾

Happy National Rescue Dog Day from all of us at Project Precious Rescue!

Every rescue dog has a story — some heartbreaking, some inspiring, but all deserving of love, safety, and a forever family. From scared and forgotten to cherished and adored, watching these dogs transform is why we do what we do every single day.

Thank you to our fosters, adopters, volunteers, supporters, and veterinary partners who help make these happy endings possible. Because of you, so many deserving pups get the fresh start they’ve always deserved.

And to all the rescue dogs out there: thank you for showing us resilience, forgiveness, unconditional love, and the true meaning of second chances.
