Friends of Stafford County Animal Shelter FOSCAS is a 501c3 charity established in 2015 run by volunteers in partnership with Stafford County Animal Shelter to support the shelter as needed.

The Friends of the Stafford County Animal Shelter is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization. Established in 2015, FOSCAS aides the Stafford County Animal Shelter in its efforts to help homeless animals in our county. The vision of FOSCAS is for all adoptable animals at the Stafford County Animal Shelter to find a permanent home. The mission of FOSCAS is to increase pet adoptions at the Stafford C

ounty Animal Shelter, improve the quality of life for the Shelter’s animals, promote spay and neuter, assist in raising funds to support and promote the Stafford County Animal Shelter, assist with Shelter volunteers, provide education for responsible dog and cat ownership and facilitate outreach and educational activities about the humane treatment of companion animals throughout Stafford County. FOSCAS is all-volunteer. No one receives a salary. We are fortunate that we have a welcome partnership with Stafford County Animal Shelter. All donations go directly to the animals!

We are honored to share this tribute to Karen Donnelly, a founding member of the Stafford Dog Club, Inc. and a passionate advocate for the well-being of dogs in our community.

The Stafford Dog Club recently made a generous donation to the Stafford County Animal Shelter in Karen’s memory—celebrating her unwavering dedication, tireless volunteerism, and the countless lives she touched through her love of animals.

Karen’s legacy lives on in the wagging tails and second chances made possible by her compassion. We are so grateful to carry her spirit forward in our mission.

Chewy is currently running a special on them - Buy 3 Get 1 Free - so now would be a great time to donate. Hey all, the Stafford County Animal Shelter is almost out of cat litter and kitten season is almost here. They would really appreciate it if you'd donate below to help us send them some.
If you prefer to donate yourself, they request the NON-CLUMPING kind.

You can drop it off in person or order online (Walmart, PetSmart, Chewy, Amazon, etc). Their address is 26 Frosty Lane, Stafford, VA 22554.

Tractor Supply in Stafford has inexpensive, non-clumping litter at a reasonable price - the brand is Paws and Claws.

Friends of Stafford County Animal Shelter (FOSCAS) is rallying support for the Stafford County Animal Shelter during one of the busiest (and furriest) times of year: kitten season! With litters of newborns and nursing mamas arriving daily, we urgently need supplies and helping hands.

🍼 What’s needed most:
• Kitten pate food – Every can counts!

Donations are tax-deductible and go directly to the care of our most vulnerable animals.
