Voodoo is absolutely crushing it in our Puppy Head Start program! Sheā€™s already sleeping through the night, making great progress with potty training (only one little accident and that one was on me, not her!).This pup is smart, driven, and full of potential. I canā€™t wait to see what she accomplishes in the future and to be able to say I was part of her journey will be something special. When youā€™re finishing up t-pattern, whatā€™s your next move? Are you transitioning into a 3-leg or 5-leg pattern blind, introducing a 9-point drill, or heading straight to cold blinds?

Personally, I like to build momentum and confidence through drills like 3- and 5-leg pattern blinds and the 9-point drill. It gives the dog clarity, teaches key concepts like lining and handling under control, and helps avoid creating unnecessary confusion or pressure too early.

Thereā€™s not just one way to get to your goal every dog and trainer is different. Donā€™t hate on someone elseā€™s program just because itā€™s not the way youā€™d do it.

Little Miss Voodoo is always on supervisor duty while I run the big dogs. She watches everything like a hawk, soaking it all in. This pup is something special bold, smart, eager to please, and just a joy to be around. Sheā€™s got all the tools and the right attitude. Love having her along for the ride

Well, the first litter was so goodā€¦ weā€™re doing it again!

Bella ā€“ Where do I even start with this girl? Her marking ability is second to none, and she gives 110% in everything she does. Whether sheā€™s in the field or relaxing at home, her on/off switch is exactly what you want in a hunting partner or family dog. She lives to be part of the team and brings heart to every task.

Jost ā€“ If you know him, you know heā€™s an absolutely stunning male. But heā€™s more than just looks his marking skills are off the charts, and his drive to please is unmatched. Like Bella, his on/off switch is incredible, making him a dream to live and work with.

If youā€™re looking for your next hunting partner or a dog to campaign in the hunt test world, this is a litter you donā€™t want to miss. Pups are due August 8th and they wonā€™t last long.

Big thank you to everyone involved in the Atlantic Flyway Retriever Club for putting on a fantastic hunt test weekend! We appreciate all the workers and judges who volunteer their time and energy to make these events happen and happen so smoothly.

But let me say this it doesnā€™t have to be evil.

I havenā€™t pitched an ear on this pup, and I donā€™t plan to. Let me make this clear.(Iā€™M NOT SAYING Iā€™LL NEVER PITCH AN EAR AGAIN.)

This journey is about growth for both dogs and trainers. Be open minded. Staying closed off to new ideas or different methods will not get you very far in life.At the end of the day, weā€™re all in this for the same reasons and chasing the same outcomes: better dogs, clearer communication, and success in the field and at home.
